    Essay Alert!

Have had a manic week, another one of those frustrating that I dont live near my mum and family for a couple of reasons.
First was DD was sick one day and I had to leave work when they were short staffed. I felt guilty cos I knew I should have kept her home in the first place as she told me felt sick but I thought she was crying wolf again, and guilty for having to leave work. You cant win being a single parent! she was so sick, it was like a scene out of alien how fast it came out of her!! Luckily it was only a 24 hour bug and me and DS didnt get it! when the school secretary rang she asked if there was anyone that could collect her and I felt so upset that there isnt one person really that i could have called. I get so frustrated with it all sometimes.

Second was my mum was subject to cold calling again and once again i had to sort out to get her money back again. a company rang her on tuesday, came round on weds and the pushy salesman got her to pay for a bath lift in full and get it booked in! I could not believe it! they had it arranged to be delivered on the friday before she had time to scratch her head!!! Never mind the 14 day cooling off period. I rang them up as soon as I got home and gave them a right earfull. the man basically said when she told him she needed time to think about it and ask her daughters, his reply was Why whats it got to do with them! That made me so angry, you wouldnt believe. This bath lift was going to cost her £1000! she told him that we were trying to get her a bungalow anyway and didnt really need it but he told her she could take it with her. The bungalow will be supported living and will have all that sort of stuff in there already. he must have known all this but wanted an easy sale! I sent them such a sh!tty email. with the title 'a scene from rogue traders!'
they reckon they are a family run business and dont work like that, so i told them they need to reign their salesmen in then!

Then last weekend my hot water packed up. Luckily I work for a plumbing company but we are so busy at the moment I still had a to wait a few days, so a few times I had three big pots of water on the hob and the kettle on to fill up a qtr of the bath lol. I only had to pay for the part needed but that was £62 :( Could have been worse though.

My younger sister who is preggers with her second one has been made redundant and finished on friday, nice xmas present! she will find it hard to find a job being pregnant but she cant afford not to work as they have a house to pay for.

another thing that has annoyed me this week is that my ex has asked to swap wkds around as he is going away for 4 days. It normally doesnt bother me but I asked him to swap that exact weekend about 6 weeks ago as it was my works xmas do and he categorically said NO. We stick to the weekends, no changes. so work have booked tickets without me. This is the third year running i cannot go. The girls at work dont even ask me when they go out for meals anymore. I then told him that I couldnt change it as I had plans already and he basically said to me 'well I am not picking them up that wkd so you will have to sort something out!' Just like that. I was astounded. He then said could I get a babysitter and he will pay for it or get my family to have them. More and more as time goes on he shows more and more that he comes first.
I have had to back down and have the kids here, at least one of us puts them first.

Its my nephews 18th birthday next weekend and we have a big family dinner happening so another expense but it will be so good to have all her kids and grandkids and my other sister and mum there. It will be a bit chaotic but hopefully a good afternoon. Its a reminder that my lad will be 18 next march. i cant believe it lol dont feel that old!

sorry for the really whingy post (when I dont post very often now) but its good to get it off my chest!

ETA - positive note, counted my spare change and bagged £60 :) and have £88 in £2s, only another 6 to bag that up to. :D
