Last Thursdays weigh in saw a 1lb gain. I'm not sure this week will be much better - I've had a heavy weekend.0

Hi all, sorry not to have been around for a few days but we went up to stay with my parents for the Easter weekend, so I didn't have computer access...
Anyway, despite a choccy/wine-filled weekend (which even included pizza - ooops!!) I hopped onto the scales this morning to discover that I have only gone up by 1.2lbs since I last weighed in officially. My next official weigh in is on Friday (at Weight Watchers - there wasn't one last Friday so it will be two weeks since I last got weighed) so I am aiming to drop that 1.2lbs and stay the same, which I will be pleased with. Anything more than that will be a real bonus!!
I'm feeling back on track today, so it shouldn't be a problem. Only slight hiccup in this master plan is that I am meeting a girlfriend for lunch on Thursday, then I have family coming over on Thursday evening for dinner, so that day will probably be a points write-off. Oh well, guess I'll have to be super-good today and tomorrow and try and earn some bonus points with some extra exercise as much as possible!!
Hope everyone else had a good weekend, and has a good week...

Hiya.
I have been good. Finally made it back to the gym yesterday - and did an 1hr workout - and also went this morning before work (45 mins)..
I desperately want to lose weight for Oz (I know I'll lose it when I'm out there, but want to lose a bit/a lot before I go), and since I only have 15 weeks left I really should get a wriggle on!!
I am interested in doing Slimming World - dont really know much about it as I have always followed WW in the past - even the website doesnt explain the difference between red & green days. Confused!!
Unfortunately I have to go to the gym quite a bit to see any difference & cant lose weight without exercising (unlike some people - my sister for example!!) - but I do enjoy it.
I have a night out on Sat & then I think I might cut out the booze completely (although I rarely go out so its not a problem), just want a total healthkick!!
Excited that I only have 15 weeks left (13 at work) - but it still isnt motivating me as much as it should to stop eating junk!!
If anyone can shed some light on the Slimming World thing it would be great :0)
Thanks & keep up the good work - you are all doing so well!!

I walk most lunchtimes
It is also better for work as it clears the brain better than lunch at the desk0 -

hi,
I joined SW after 5 years on and off WW and it took a bit to get used to it. Red days are basically any lean protein - fish, meat, chicken etc and also most fruit(whole, fresh) and veg is free too (eat as much as you want).
Green days are eat as much rice, pasta, carbs as you want. All fruit(fresh, whole) and Veg is free.
You get 2 healthy A choices and two healthy b choices everyday.
A choice is a measured mount of milk or cheese (eg I had 350ml skimmed milk this morning for cereal and tea)
B choice is a measured amount of other food - bread, cereal, carbs if on a red day and protein if on a green, olive oil, etc. (eg I had cereal this morning and will have bol sauce with pasta for lunch - both 'b's gone).
You also have syns for extras (like buscuits, sauces, alcohol). Other free food on both days includes low fat yogurts (like mullerlight), quorn, quark, low fat fromage frais.
It does take a bit of planning but once you know it well I've found it much better for me than WW as I can always eat something and never have to just eat veg alone.
Hope that helps

Whoops fell off the wagon when my OH bought me an Easter Egg :EasterBun
However, that's been my only chocolate for a week and I've lost 2lbs.
I've challenged myself to go to the gym 3 times this week so I need to go after work. I so don't want to.0 -

I was sooooo waiting for bad news that I've been on a real buzzy high for the last two hours with sheer excitement!!! Can't believe it. Am even more determined for next week now - want that first silver star for losing half a stone!
Well done everyone else who managed to lose, welcome poppycracker and anyone else to our Cuddle, and chin-up (so to speak & pardon the pun) everyone who didn't lose - I bet you all come roaring back with a vengeance next week!!!!0 -

Hello peeps!
I didn't go out for a long walk this lunchtime but I did get out so better than nothing/sitting at desk. Was trying to remember to do bum crunches at desk when I was there though :rotfl: (oooh that reminds me.....and SQUEEZE.....count to ten......and relax...)
I have just done about an hour of housework though - vacuuming, polishing bedroom furniture and then....I went completely mad and scrubbed the bathroom using my new Stardrops (love the fresh smell!) which in turn made me want to clean some more so I did all the upstairs door frames and the two sets (of six) stairs which are bare varnished wood (hope it's ok on that...eek!)
I think that must count as some exercise!!? I hope so anyway.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
