I'm on the lookout for some inspiration/insight/thought about the psychology of eating habits etc. I know its totally a problem in my head really - eating for comfort, out of habit and for reassurance (or a treat). But when I do these things I don't really enjoy it because I know I shouldn't do it, I feel weak for not having the willpower and I feel bad that I haven't lost weight - killer pile of guilt and negative stuff there  :rotfl:
Hi Kathfisch, I know this is going back a while but I've just been picking some pages as random as I'm fairly new to this thread.
Anyway I came across your post about finding a book on the psychology of eating and I have read such a book. It is 'Susio Orbach On Eating' by Susie Orbach. (ISBN: 0141007516) It's not a very big book and it suggests that you don't read it from cover to cover but pick the topics which 'speak' to you. It may be just what you're looking for, if you still are looking. LOL :rotfl:
I still haven't read it all the way through, I'm still working on the 'Stop eating when you are full' chapter. It does make a lot of sense though."Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Hey Kath! I did it for about three weeks and gave up because college started again BUT I lost nothing the first week and then 2lbs each the following weeks. And it's still coming off at a rate of 1-2lbs a week. A result and a hoot into the bargain. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
