I haven't done much!I done my 8k race on 17th Sept and raised £424!!!
I have booked myself on a 10k race for 19th Nov.. really need to get my !!!! in gear and start training again! Otherwise I've been sticking to 3 meals a day and only junk food at weekends!
I'm taking up badminton weekly at work, and waiting for my swimming costume to turn up to go swimming!!
I was disappointed at I put my name down to be a bone marrow donor (there short of mixed race people and alocal kid really needs some!) but I was rejected because of my weightI have to be 101kg.. so I have some way to go still!!!! But I will get to it and reapply again! My next weigh in is 7th Nov so we're see! I've got my indoor sky dive next weekend.. I'm just chuffed I made the max weight!

I have to say that I'm hugely impressed by all the activities you're throwing yourself into - I really think that's the key to your success. You and Minnie are quite the role models!:T
Working from home is an absolute killer in terms of getting out and getting some exercise. I have to admit that I feel limp and lifeless....no energy at all - and I know that's because of my sedentary lifestyle.
Time for my morning workout....walk to kitchen to make coffee!
Well done again K9.....am sure we'll hear about another landmark on Nov 7th:T0 -
Thanks Freebird. I do actually feel suprisingly better after my rant. Hoping to start aafresh today and not be so down on myself.
Will keep up with posting even if i get lost along the way. Thanks again.

Sorry for the depressing rant. Been reading along for a while but not felt worthy to post. Just to let you know I'm still here and if theres anyone else just reading along - your NOT alone!!!
Hey Misscal, hope you're feeling a bit brighter. :grouphug: I was feeling a bit low about things over the weekend, so I ate a bit more than I should. Decided to do something about it by taking my large butt out for a stroll in the countryside. I power walked until I didn't feel quite so low, then chilled out and enjoyed my surroundings, the great outdoors works wonders for low spirits.
I try and convince myself to go out even if I'm not sure that I feel like it and I always come back feeling more positive. Plus it's free. Just come back from a weekend in Cleethorpes (Sun holiday so cheapy!!) Not been so good on the diet front as we ate out a couple of times (2 for 1!) and everything kind of involved........chips!! Did drag my mate for a walk along the beach though.
Well done Minnespender and K9 Cuddles and everybody else! And hope everything is going better now Miscal, it can be so difficult at times but we will get there- it's never too late to change things! X0 -
The cold that was threatening me last week and that I thought had gone at the weekend has come back and overwhelmed me - am all swollen glands, sore throat and achiness......so off course ate too much yesterday - comfort food and all that. Feel like hell today so will try to stick to lots of tea, soup and a piece of toast.....and ignore the bar of chocolate evilly calling from the back of the cupboard...:D0

Ahh hope you are feeling better soon, Freebird, make sure you look after yourself and get plenty of rest- I'm sure that chocolate sometimes has medicinal purposes you know!! xxx0

I've just weighed in this lunchtime, I usually do Wednesdays but I've joined the walking for health group on a Wednesday lunchtime so I may not have time tomorrow.
Anyway...I've lost another 2lbs! Yay! On track for long-term weight loss, that's 2lbs over 2 weeks so I'm rather pleased. :j
3 weeks until my brother's wedding, hopefully I can squeeze off an extra 1lb a week to get just under 10 stone in time for the joyous occasion.
I'm especially smug today as I can congratulate myself for still cycling to work despite the rain and the darkness. :A"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Well done bobble-hat! :T :T Slowly but surely is always the best way!
I just made myself a big pot of veg soup with a couple of grilled Tescos Finest sausages (free courtesy of R&R!).......very yummy and am feeling a bit better right now.
Have yet to succumb to chocolate but a medicinal chunk with a glass of medicinal brandy may be in order this evening0
