Kath - thank you again for this fantastic book idea!

I'm coming to the end of day 3 phase 1. Day 1 - no telly. Easy. I just stayed in bed all day with the radio. Day 2 - write for 15 minutes. Erm... I do this anyway! Day 3 (today) - don't drink your favourite drink. Coffee in this case. What can I say, except GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Very difficult! Tomorrow is "go for a walk for 15 minutes" - should be a doddle again.

The book says that most people lose 1lb (or more) during phase 1. I shall report back! If I do lose it, I'm hooked! I have reached a plateau with the scales refusing to budge for THREE weeks now!

I'm ashamed to say I was very busy and completely forgot to re-read book and restart programme! :o The attitude of challenging my habits is still with me though so hopefully its doing me some good :)

The no internet (instead of no tv) one was hard for me, followed by the no tea or coffee. It feels so good when you do it though :T

I hope you do lose some weight Minnie but, even if not, I hope it makes you feel good! :D Enjoy tomorrow - I loved my 15 minute 'walk and think about life', was quite useful actually :T :D

  • Evening all,

Oh my shoulders ache today after yesterdays session on the weights. Its a good 'no pain, no gain' type ache though rather than a nasty pain.

On the bad news front, it looks like I'll be out of work by Christmas having done the same job for the last 6 years. :( I'm thinking of taking the opportunity to start my own little business - which means from this moment onwards all my spending will have to stop completely incase I end up without an income for any period of time.

I've already avoided buying a colourful new iPod this evening so thats a start :p

Hey Phil....well done for the efforts on the weights. GO FOR IT with the business plans....I started my own little business up and although I'm not earning huuuuge amounts, it's the best thing I ever did. Which reminds me.....I'm off to untangle my paperwork....tax return to do...ugggh.

On the FFW front I've finally managed to re-kick-start the diet and have lost a pound.....not a lot but it's in the right direction! Mind you, I'm off on holiday next Wed :j so will see what damage that does.....although I intend to get that book recommended by Minnie and Kathfisch for beach reading...yeay!

  • Well done Phil and Freebird! I have managed to get back into exercising after being poorly, have booked another 26 mile walk for Sunday (the Ponton Plod, near Grantham) so just going to take is easy, plus it's in Lincolnshire so will be flat! (hopefully...)

Oh alright then...will reluctantly remove him.....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Will have to disappear for a couple of weeks now - I'm off on hols next week (shouldn't really but can't help myself) and I also have to get my tax return in by the 31st.....and guess who didn't bother to keep proper records when she started her business....ooops.

Off to start dealing with the paper mountain....be good all....I intend to return at least 5 lbs lighter with that bit of recommended reading from you lot.

    Toodle pip for now....:D
