Grumble - 2nd weigh in today after I started my diet and I couldn't resist having a sneaky peak when I got up - 4lbs off (wooooooh) so I went and got my mum for the 'official' weight in and paid my £5, feeling pretty smug ;) got on the scales...............................................

only 2lbs off :( how did I put on 2lbs in 5 mins??

oh well - its still a step in the right direction, I guess!! :D am going to walk back to the park&ride car park this eve rather than take the bus

Don't feel bad PigeonGirl, when you have a cold and feeling low everything is allowed! :)
Plus Batfink is right, don't weigh urself every day, do it every week or every fortnight, at the same time be it in the morning or evening.

I think I over did it yesterday, now can hardly walk. Was kept awake most of the night because my toe (which I broke 18 months ago) was complaining about the forced exercise! ;)

I'm going to start the detox plan...Apple flavour, I hope it doesn't taste too bad!

Morning all!! And well done Annando for that determined start....better than me!! I was soooo good yesterday, salad for dinner when OH had a curry.....and then I slobbed on the sofa to watch Prison Break and had a couple of vodkas....ooops!

Best detox is plenty of water.....I cut up lemon and lime slices and pop them in the freezer - then when I have a glass of water, it's like popping in a flavoured ice cube!

I WILL walk to the P.O. today and resist the urge to take the car...I will....

    Well done Devils_nose! :)

Nice idea with the lemon and lime freebird65, thanks, I will pop them on the shopping list tonight and give it a try.

After all this talk of diet I couldn't help but weigh myself before I had my breakfast (I always go for the first thing in the morning weigh) - and was pleased to see the numbers dropping. Down to 12st 2lb now - from a starting weight, about 6 months ago, of 13st 5lb. Hardly amazing over that time but I'm building a bit of muscle too and have dropped from a tight 34 to a comfortable 32 in trousers.

    I'm aiming for 11st and a 6-pack by August......

OOhh all this talk of weight already lost (well done all:T ) is making me more determined to do this.......very motivating this...it's all bright and sunny out there so I feel a march into town coming on......and the bakery will be blanked!!!

Another little tip for you....you know how you're supposed to drink 2 litres of water a day (yumm  )...well...if you get a munchy attack, or just before you eat a meal, glug a half pint of water down because it fills you up and means you'll be less likely to overeat AND you'll have done part of that 2 litres (approx 8 half pints).

Time for morning caffeine hit...some pleasures I'm NOT giving up!

Hey you guys I'm really impressed everyone is going full steam in to this I think it's fantastic the number of people who are walking everywhere too!! Plus think of all the petrol saved and the benefit to the environment. (I am however so glad this wasn't suggested during winter :D)

Yesterday I managed just 1 small meal and I spent some time in the garden doing gardeny thing. Today I'm going to walk to the letter box at the top of the hill and do some housework. Not sure what I'm going to have for my meal but today I'm thinking some fish. Tesco are doing a discount on salmon and I have lots of spare lemons. Mmmm

Keep it up you guys!! (And for all those who sinned last night in front of ER - and you know who you are - drop and give me 20!) Hehe
