• Just updated my signature and noticed that next month is the anniversary of our light bulb moment..... can't believe that since then we have alreadypaid off over £27,000 :):):)

Speak of anniversaries, today is my wedding anniversary so I'm off to make Mrs Ging a big (MSE) handmade card!

Congratulations to you and Mrs Ging :j:j:j

And well done on the debt repayments.
How was the holiday with the extended family?

DTxx
• Holiday went pretty well considering how it could have gone!!!! Did spend an absolute fortune though.... mostly because we got carried away with wanting to give them all the experiences they have missed.

Third child is settling in quite well - yet again the info we were provided about a child has been overly negative and not a good representation of who he is .

Need to start saving now for next years hol I gues .

Made a start on some decluttering today. Bedroom and landing are now spotlessly clean. Dreading most of the other rooms though. Hope to make a bit of cash from ebaying some of the !!!!!

• Hi all,

I have a pretty free day today so intend to spend the day sorting out my kitchen cupboards and freezer. Going to do it properly this time. Get everything out so I can see what we have got and what we need. I have created a simple menu planning sheet so I will be working out what food will be eaten on what days. I'm hoping that we will have enough food to make our main meals last until the end of the month.... fingers crossed :D.

Really fired up to do this at the moment but I know I will be regreting starting it in an hour :rotfl:.

• Just stopping for some lunch and thought I'd pop on here and update. So far emptied everything and have put back all the frozen stuff after deciding what meals I could make out of them and writing it down on the planner. Both ashamned and pleased to say that we definately have enough food (except fresh) for the rest of this month and so far a lot more meals too :o:D.

I also have a lot of leftover bits and odd ingredients that I have to think about how I can use. Might have a gander at the OS board for more ideas. Need to stop buying BOGOF's as they mostly seem to just sit there until thrown out.

Still have tonnes to do so hopefully I'll find some more meals..... be great to get to half term without having to do big food shop.

Best get on with it................ Ging x

The kids are doing really well. The third is quite settled now and they're all getting on pretty well considering how it could have been!!!

I'm ashamned to say that I manged to get 36 main meals and puddings out of my store cupboard (just need to add fresh fruit and veg). I've created a shelf of thing to use up so when I start to run out of meals I can buy stuff to go with what I've already got. It's quite full shelf :D.

The furniture has arrived so I know I'll be spending this weekend rubbing it down and repainting it. Still it's beautiful stuff, just needs some TLC.

Spending today doing a load more decluttering. Aim to get at least 2 more bin bags full of rubbish out.
