Well, today isn't quite as relaxing as planned but at least the stuff I need to do today isn't too bad.
I really should get out in the garden but I'm trying to conjure up all kinds of excuses to evade this - all good excuses gratefully accepted.
I might be forced to try to catch up on few diaries and also I'm nipping over to the NSD challenge for August as I failed dismally in July.....must try harder, must try harder
Off for a coffee to build up energy for a no gardening excuseDebts 07/12/2021

Damn I missed the party invite!
Excuses for not doing some gardening ..... You don't want to risk damaging your skin with all those harmful UV rays? You're too drunk to be let loose on garden tools (this one involves swiftly downing a large glass of wine/ G&T first)? You're too busy researching recipes to use up a droopy carrot, jar of Reggae Reggae sauce and some hairy cheese?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Thanks FireFox

I like this one
I got a small fork & trowel for my birthday from the work (I'd asked for this - honest) and a voice from the back of the team announced - "Who gave ClootiesMum Weapons?"
So this excuse would be PERFECT

Hi there
Nice to see you back with your lists and determination again. Oh, and I do like Fire Fox's excuses too :rotfl:

Thanks Primula,
I need to give myself a proverbial shake & this site does help.
I know it's late in the day but I have been busy - honest
So today's stuff is/was
MSE
Daily stuff - spreadsheets/pigsback/hm lunch etc -Done
Must potter in the greenhouse to save my tomatoes that have grown about a foot over the weekend -Done
Send an e-mail to vice president of Thai bank to try to get them to respond so I can work towards settling Dad's estate - done
Non MSE
Phone estate agts to see when house is going on-line - Done & it's now on their website
Need to send a wee letter to sister-in-law & her partner - they've just sent us a CD he's recorded - I've not listened to it yet - DH can have that pleasure on his day off tomorrowDone
Ironing -done
Reply to an e-mail sent by Mum's boss before she retired. - also done
Clean out handbag - I'm getting so's I can't see the bottom of it:eek: -done
So off I toddle to greenhouse & various other places

Well, I didn't get the VP of the Thai bank but I've just picked up an e-mail from the bank telling me I have to go through the Thai court system & then go to the local branch to settle the account  I don't think so......
So another e-mail is winging its way back to them to find an alternative solution.
And the CD hasn't been listened to yet - at least if I haven't listened to it I can genuinely say the thought in sending it was really kind - as I may not be able to say after listening
And my bag is about to be tackled. -done
Then I think a wee half hour in the garden might be called for as I feel like a bear with a sore head today & I'd be better taking this out on weeds rather than dogs & DH (or possibly just H tonight as the D is severely lacking at the moment....)

And I've just had to call the bank as they decided to take out one of their own direct debits a day early and then charge me for the priviledge:eek:
Never mind - nice lady on the phone has reversed this charge off - but life is complicated enough so why do this to people.....

Hi ClootiesMum just popping along to show support. Just read your diary in full sounds like you have a lot on your hands and like you are doing the right thing - taking things one step at a time....
Sometimes that is all any of us can do. Glad that you are getting out in the garden and getting organised... Make time for fun too if you can tho....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Saving Holmes
I do have fun - honest - like MSE peeps it's possibly not too normal - I read with a passion & I do actually enjoy my work. And if I can save money on things I just get SO excited.
But travel is the passion. There's a big world out there & I want to go everywhere & try everything. DH & I are seen as individual and experimental by the people we know but I think that refers more sadly on them than interestingly on us. One couple we know were fascinated by the sweet potato and cinnamon they got with a meal recently.
But the advert for something that goes - "where does that go, what does that taste like, and DH's favourite - what happens if I press this DO NOT TOUCH button? - That's us
It's DH's 50th this year & with Mum's estate coming through I intend to take him on a holiday & a half. I can't mention any places on here in case he reads but we have 2 weeks off together in October & I have a couple of places in mind. If I can work out how to get another username I might spill secrets but until then I can't say.
So fun is had by all, all MSE style, of course
