Just taken 5 tubs of weeds out of the garden & I think I'll make this a daily task (unless it rains). That way if I'm having a bad day I'll go for big weeds but if I'm feeling productive I'll dig away at small weeds.
Theoretically, the weeds should be cleared in a couple of weeks - they'll not grow back will they?
How sad am I - going for the baby steps again. But if it works.......

Now to set Sky for Dragon's Den to get the name of the magic weed remover they MUST have on tonight :p.

OK - tomorrow's Thursday & nearly weekend time & DH is off so I want to have all done before then so we can enjoy the weekend & build a hen run for chookies to have more room - has been very MSE so far as staff in the work have brought me in chicken wire that's been cluttering up their gardens & garages. Being a bit cheeky I've also put the word out that if any fencepoles need tidied up I'll help with that too.

    So Sunny Thursday's tasks

    MSE

Daily stuff- spreadsheets/pigsback/HM lunch etc -Done
NSD no 2 this month -Done
Phone Royal Bank to make sure lawyers for estate are doing their stuff - & then phone lawyers to kick a$s if necessary - was in meetings all day so this has had to be moved to tomorrow's list

    Non MSE

5 tubs of weeds from garden
Tidy house so I can clean house on Friday night to leave weekend free
Yet more washing - how dirty can you get
Give Diego pup a good brushing as his moulting is giving us a carpet rather than wooden floors.

And that will be quite enough I think as I have the dentist in the morning.

    Have a good one folks

Did you make the savoury flapjacks, if so how did they turn out?

    Hi FireFox,

Sorry, but I didn't make the flapjacks, but I have printed off the recipe & I will have a go at this - probably tomorrow in fact as DH is working late & I'll have to forage in the kitchen for myself.

Anyway - all plans made have gone out the window today as brother has had another baby boy & I've offered to make all the aunt/uncle phone calls for him - at the moment I'm on the phone to aunt abroad - so far have been on for 30 mins & there are many more mins to go. Luckily she talks more than she listens so an occasional 'listening noise' keeps her happy and God bless Skype...

Phone call finished - pressie wrapped for brother that DH can post tomorrow (he told me they were having a boy so cards & pressies were in). All aunts/uncles except for 1 who's not in just now have been contacted.

And have raided possible present box & card store for said items for friend's 4 year old whose birthday is today. Will wrap in pink SnowWhite Disney paper that I got free about 3 years ago & have used for her & her sister's birthdays & Christmases since then - how MSE is that.....

And the possible present box is a great source of hilarity at work but I believe everyone should have one. DH works for Mr A and after Christmas or when things are being delisted then he buys - most of it goes into said PPB for use throughout the year. Any pretty freebies also go in this, along with pressies received that are not 'us'. We're good at remembering who gave what and have NEVER recycled a present to the giver of unwanted present - yet.

It's strange how I think this is acceptable but I can't bring myself to approve of brother selling Mum's stuff on e-bay - but is there a difference?

Anyhow - wine o'clock time now to wet baby's head.

Good morning - or afternoon if you've been up for hours,

I can see a duvet day ahead - it's piddling down with rain, DH's phone went off at 6 this morning - his work calling  but this was ignored and I'm down to 1 chicken due to the fact Bluebell is a cannibal (don't ask - it's gruesome) and she is about to renamed Bluebeard.

But on the good news front - 1 of the 6 viewers is going back on Thursday for a second look at Mum's house & as they are renters at the moment this could be promising, DH is having an MSE call to his brother - he calls, says hello & then the phone mysteriously cuts off so brother calls back :D - naughty I know but as brother's calls are all about brother it seems justified, and new nephew and family are getting on well - postie managed to get the present through brother's letterbox so I'm really glad it wasn't breakable.

So off now to have a shower, put on clean PJs & then assume lounging position on couch with remote in hand - there must be a good film to watch somewhere on Sky...

    Have a good one folks

Well so much for a duvet day - Hypno, you shamed me & I've had a productive day.

Have cobbled together a hen run with acquired things - very MSE :D - Bluebeard is much happier & is rooting about amongst weeds & even found a slug. I just hope she doesn't think this is a reward for pecking her companion to death. We're going to get 2 more hens - theory being that 2 are more likely to stand up to a bully than 1 is.

And we've weeded & tidied the kennel area of the garden (OK - more DH than me, but I did help).

Tonight I'll get some ironing done & have a hem to repair on work trousers as well as a couple of socks to darn (yes, I'm sad enough to rescue sockies this way) and I have some work stuff brought home that needs to be sorted into what needs to be kept & what is to be disposed of - never get time at work to do this as it's just too noisy.

And I need to find a £20 note to start the £20 Hypno challenge again tommorow....

But in the mean time - a small cup of tea is called for
