Beenie cat - I think I felt movement at week 18 (my first baby, apparently if it is not your first you can feel it sooner) it was like bubbles at first. I had a few days where it felt like bump was doing somersaults but now it is just an occasional jab!

Does anyone else poke their bump to try and feel where parts of the body are? Or is it just me ........... :rolleyes: Also to try and get the baby to move again!

Also does anyone else abuse their pregnant status. For example I love pork pies, usually I get frowned at by OH because of their unhealthiness (if that is a word!) but now I can buy as many pork pies as I like - he even offered to get me one the other day! It might be my new craving On the other hand though I don't want to be too unhealthy so will limit myself to once a week as I still have a way to go.

Sarah Joanne at my booking in i went on my own as know all hubby's and my medical history. your midwife will give you your EDD and write in yout maternity notes. It is just questions like does anyone have diabetes,thrombosis, high blood pressure, hip problems any diseases that run in the families etc. There is a long list that she has to go though. She will ask/tell you where your having bubs i had the choice of hospital although she tried to send me to the city hospital over 30 miles away There is a lovely midwife led small birthing center nor to far away but because i had a EMCS with my first i am consultant led not midwife led so i can't go there boo hoo.

She tested my wee and atempted to take bloods but i haven't very good veins so i still had to go to hospital to have it done. She will go though the bloods tests with you and explain what and why they are testing for.
She will give you a pack of info with emmas diary in, Write off to book your scan and make apt to see her next. Which will prob be at 16 wks. Hth.

Grr @ SM's stupid boss!!!! I really does sound like your best off out of there honey. Didn't he promise you money from the safe yesterday? - did you get that?

they havent got a clue and i need nappies soon as well as food luckily enough i did batch cooking but when they run out im left with nothing ive got about 30 nappies left after that nowt x

How annoying :mad: Cant you say you are giving them another 24hrs then are seeking legal advice as it is discrimination as your other non ml colleagues have been paid :mad: :mad:

I was due my smp on monday and as its tuesday with no sign of it getting sorted I will be seeing someone soon and classing this as discrimination. I am (that i know of) the only woman on smp and yet I havent been paid. I have been contacting people since before i left on the 16th of may for maternity leave. I have been told constantly it was sorted to find out that its not and that people knew it was not sorted yet did nothing to contact the proper people to inform them of this I will soon contacting someone to find out what can be done.

Morning all! Back from my 2nd nuchal scan . This one went better as of course babe was finally big enough this time - but now he/she turned camera shy! Did not want to cooperate at all and took ages to get a measurement. Even the picture is bad - bless him, I think he kept glaring at us like 'stop prodding me, I want to go back to sleep!'

Dates definitely getting shoved back now...looks much more like Boxing Day than before Christmas. I still don't want to change it, b/c it makes it feel like I have to do a week all over again!
