Hi all.. Quick update then I'm off to the hospital :)

I've [STRIKE]defected to the other side[/STRIKE] been on the Parent Thread - they're (we're?!) lovely honestly!

Rhys is getting the hang of breastfeeding - we're trying a few times a day. Still tube fed his usual amounts for now but soon enough I'll be moving back in to be able to feed on demand :) He's getting really "grabby" too - touches and holds lots more than he did even a few days ago.

Expressing is still going well now that I've got the tablets from the doc :)

We're going on a day trip to Nottingham on Thursday to see kidney and thyroid specialists. Will have two days in the isolation room afterwards (whilst he's tested for any infections he might pick up whilst out of the hospital - standard procedure for any babies transferred in from anywhere else even if he's only been out for one day!). Then only one more room to go before we're home! :D

House is coming on well - builder should be finished all but one job (replacing the bay on our bedroom) by the end of this week. Then it's just painting and arranging for the carpets to be put down and we're done :)

Really need to order Rhys' crib and some more feeding vests from Mothercare when I'm back home at lunch time!

Right, I'm dashing off.. Really hope everyone is well and has a good day. Back later :) xx

Molly, I have raspberry leaf tea but it says it should be avoided by those who are under 35 weeks pregnant - what do they do?

Sarah joanne - Is this your booking in appointment? If it is your midwife will probably take your and your OH's medical history, so it is useful to take your OH with you if you can. She will probably take blood pressure and at mine she also booked my 12 week scan with the hospital there and then. You will also get your maternity notes.

Elle - great news about Rhys :)

SS thanks very much! That's amazing - I had no idea about that! I will keep my tea and start drinking it in 28 weeks time!! ( I was going to throw it away as I thought maybe it was harmful to baby!)

Molly, well when I saw Dr last week he made the appointment for me as we though (from date of last MP) that I must be around 12 weeks. After an emergency visit to the hospital on Sunday the scan showed I'm actually only 5 weeks (and it's exactly 5 weeks today as that's when i got home from a month without Joe in Oz!!)

So I'm not sure if I shoudl even have had the appointment this early, but the Dr at the hospital told me to still go to it!!

    Hi guys,

Dropped in again while I have 5 mins. Had a mad weekend. Looks like DS has a peanut allergy. He tasted peanut butter for the first time on saturday tea time. He had 2 licks then spat it out and said 'don't like it' so we took it away. He woke up sunday morning looking like he had measles or something his face and arms are covered in hives bless him. They don't seem to be bothering him too much and doctor has given us some antihistamine syrup to help him leave them alone. I never let a peanut cross my lips when I was pregnant with him and it has made no difference. So I have eaten a snickers. I just fail to see how they can have any natural immunity if they aren't exposed to them when in the tummy.

My ds has a nut allergy and i never ate a single one while i was pregnant. My midwife told me to not eat any as ds has an allergy there for bubs would also get it, she had very strong views on it until i pointed out ds still got it and i didn't eat any. I am not a great fan of nuts anyway but like a nice satay at the thai or i will have them if in chocolates etc so in the end she said oh do what you like then if it made no difference with ds eat them.

Feeling so tired at the moment. I tried to have a nap yesterday on the sofa i put the tv on for ds but couldn't really drop off with ds around who knows what he would get up to even with me just on the sofa. He goes to preschool the wrong times for me. i am not too bad in the morning still tired but can manage to put washing on etc but by the afternoon i am like a zobie i think i have my pj's on every day by the time hubby gets home. I confess i am a slummy mummy.

Hubby was well chuffed with dinner last night. I actually made him a proper dinner not just fish finger cobs or soup like i have been doing lol Glad i have the night off cooking though tonight he isn't coming home untill midnight so i think me and ds might take ourselves off to macdonalds. The only problem is he will tell his dad i can't keep anything secret.

Chopsticks and others, thanks for asking after me!!

I'm fine, been lurking but not posting much cos OH always says "telling your friends about us again?" LOL. I'd be miffed if he was posting about us so i thought i better stop being a hypocrite :D

Bump is definitely noticeable (to me!) when laid in bed on a night, felt hard last night and i was getting OH to prod and he said he could feel how hard it was.

Not feeling much movement yet though, but i don't expect to yet, don't think it'll be long though. I feel the odd barely noticeable flutter so it's definitely there!

I kept track of my weeks/days via the ticker i posted on page 1 of last thread - only just realised that's long gone, doh!!

    New one :D
