Hi,
This is my first posting on this thread so forgive me if this is a bit long winded but... I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
I am 9 days late (was due on 3rd July.. 28 day cycle) have done numerous P tests that all say negative (including one at 4am this morning!)
But... I feel pregnant?? (have had 2 others babies now 9 and 5!) I'm totally shattered and starving all the time, my nipples look like flying saucers (sorry) and I just don't feel myself at all!!!! grrr
I have seen my doctor (I was 3 days late) and he said to wait a few days and test again, I've done that it says NO!!! but I am still convinced I'm preggers??
Do I book in to see my nurse (who's lovely) and request a blood test??
I'm more worried as I was told by my consultant to make sure I have a very early scan due to the operation I had last October (sterilization reversal) but, but, but oooohhh I'm getting in a flap and it's really not helping me.... any ideas??
Thanks in advance... my brains not working to well either!"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇0 -
Congratulations pinkpig!!!
Tara it'll be over soon, I'm so sorry the team's being so rubbish with you.
Tia, I'm so jealous of your Monsoon find!
Someone was asking about baby name books - I'd just look online.
Congratulations Nikabella!
Mrsgibbs, some women can't turn the home tests positive. You should be able to request a blood test from the doctor.
Phew, all caught up, hopefully - if I missed anyone I'm sorry.
Still nothing but pains to report from over here. Husband woke me enough that I had to get up for a bathroom trip at 2:30am and then the cat followed me in there and wouldn't get out of the way of the door so I was stuck for a few minutes and then wiiiiiide awake by the time I got back to bed. GRR.

Mrsgibbs - sorry I can't really help you there but seeing a doc seems the logical answer to me.
Tara - Am so sorry to hear about your sucky day! I hope today brings better things xxx

OOh, lots to catch up on!
Pink and Molly- huge congratulations on your girlies. Can't wait to see some piccies. Hope Mums and babies are doing well and managing to get some rest.
Tara- sending big hugs your way. I would be seriously fed up if I was in your position. I think you are doing so well, and you will have your baby with you so soon.
Tia- I would feel like you too in your position so don't blame you at all. Another gorgeous dress- is it the same as another you bought but in another colour?
Welcome to newbies- there must be something in the water as there seem to be loads.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Congratulations Molly and Pink. Enjoy your new arrivals. And good luck Tara. Hope baby makes an appearance today after all your trials.
For Mrsgibbs, probably you aren't pregnant, if all your tests are negative. It's not uncommon to skip a period every now and again, when you are trying to conceive and easy to talk yourself into symptoms, even when you've had more than one child and know what they are like. I've been there, done that on a couple of occasions. There isn't any harm in seeing your GP again but if he doesn't do a blood test, don't get in a flap about it. Maybe have a look on the ttc threads to reassure yourself that what's happening is very common?
Tia - I don't think you sound selfish in the slightest. Everything you have said sounds very sensible and in the best interests of all the family, and not necessarily to be honest an easy ride for you! Whatever happens with you, I hope that all goes well with the remainder of the pregnancy, however long that turns out to be, and that your recovery is quick.0 -
Labour vibes coming your way Tink!
Kindofagilr - congratulations and good luck with keeping up with the thread! We all worry but just make sure you're eating healthily and doing the best you can and leave your body to do the rest, the wait for the 12 week scan does seem like forever!!
Welcome back Nikabella!
Hooray pinkpig! Well done you for getting through the most painful bit on your own once the pethadine and gas and air had worn off!
Tara - you are definitely not a failure because things didn't go to plan, when this little lady is here none of this will matter so much but I can completely understand your frustration. good luck for today...
I had another smallish blood clot in the night last night and woke up today to more brown/red jelly mucus, so don't know exactly whats going on but nothing that's happening now is enough for the hospital to be interested, so back to waiting and hoping that nothing happens and baby keeps baking....
and i weighed myself this morning and i've lost a pound this week, my weekly pregnancy e-mails tell me i should be putting on a pound a week at this stage, not losing it.....hope that's not a bad sign...0 -
Welcome to Kind and Nikabella (good to see you back!)
I still worry now at almost 30 weeks - it's perfectly natural. Just eat healthy and don't stress out or overdo it.
Congrats to Pink :T:T Caitlyn Rose is a lovely name
HUGE Labour vibes going out to Tara who I hope has babe in arms already!
Labour Vibes to tink as well!

Where does the time go? :think:0 -
thanks xmaslolly76, I have really sore boobs, but that is it for the moment, I am slightly concerened cos I had some brown spotting yesterday, and some slight crampy pains?
What symptoms should I be having (if that makes sense lol) I will be 6 weeks on thursday?
Hey EAyes I did loads of test on holiday lol, I was due Af on the thursday and started testing on the monday, I got my first faint BFP on the wednesday and then the lines got darker every day, then on Monday (a week after I started testing) I used my last test and it was sooo bright lol.
We got back off hol on Sat (late sat night) and we got a ClearBlue digital on the sun and it confirmed the pregnancy and told us we were 4-5 weeks (according to the calcs on the net I am 6 weeks on thursday though)
What symptoms do you have EA?
Somnium - Thank you very muchwell I think I am just being paraniod really, I had a little bit of brown spotting yesterday with a little bit of cramping and it got me worried, I dont have any spotting today, but had a little bit of cramping this morning, so I dont know if I am being parnaiod, or if there is something wrong? I did do a google search and it said spotting was normal, unless it turns red, but I think it said that cramping wasnt normal? (I dont think it helps that I watched Marley and Me on the way home on the plane and JA is pregnant in that and they go for there scan and there is no baby there
it was very sad, so that kinda thing makes me worry too, I think I am a big worrier)
Nikabella can you put my EDD as March 10th 2010 (thats when I work it out as anyway lol, the doc may not when I see him)
Pinkpig - congrats on your lovely baby girl
HypnoNu - Thank YouI know, thanks, I just keep telling myself I am halfway to the scan date (not that I have one yet lol) so just chill out lol
Glamazon - Thank you
Thank you to everyone.

I've just read the most ridiculous "news" article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1199156/Why-mothers-pain-childbirth--male-expert-midwifery.html
For the benefit of any first-time moms on this thread, my babies are 24 and 4 months old. I had an epidural with my first and an epidural and a spinal with my second - and I've been breastfeeding continuously since my eldest was born. So don't let anyone scare you off having pain relief, if you want/need it. It will *not* prevent you from bonding with your baby and breastfeeding (if you want to).0 -
kindofagilr - i had spotting and cramps when i first found out i was pregnant, for me it was just the egg bedding in and i hear a lot of people have the same so don't panic, implantation pains and spotting are fairly common.
The advice is no undercooked eggs so i guess it depends how you like your omelette or scrambled eggs, they need to be cooked through to reduce the risk of listeria but i would suggest you read up online about the various foods and risks and then you'll be comfortable making your own decisions about what you should and shouldn't eat.
I read loads and after that was comfortable eating runny eggs or pink steak or a bit of brie depending on where i was and how confident i was in the food and source of food.
you'll get a wide variety of views here, some of us are very strict and others are pretty comfortable with not following the guidelines to the letter, no-one will judge you no matter what choice you decide to make!0
