elastigirl wrote: »Don't worry EA i have had this problem in fact the only thing people have said is ''i didn't think you could try again yet'' I had to wait 3 months to get the drugs out of my system and it was dead on 3 months we tried and fell straight the way so i was meant to be as had tried for 5 months before ectopic. We didn't tell anyone though until our 12 week scan just to be sure. Only 2 of my friends have congratulated me the others haven't even picked up their phone it txt, let alone call or see me so screw them i know who my real friends are don't i?
It's a shame as the 2 freinds who are happy for me are quite new friends i have met through ds being at pre-school and i haven't heard a peep from my old/normal friends, one really annoys me as she is my close friend, was my bridemaid who i have known since we were 10. But i am used to it i always give 110% and put others first when they don't give a s**t about me, when said friend was pg her hubby txt me to tell me not her i rang her straight back. She had a baby shower and i wasn't invited. i have also just found out that sister in law had a baby shower and again i wasn't invited. She lives around the corner from me so no excuse she also recently held a baby shower for her friend who i also know and kept going on about what a fun girly nite they all had. Are people clueless to others feeling or just mine?
Sorry i didn't mean to have a little rant then :rotfl:
I have a few friends that are like that, we were extremley close for 5 years and when i got pregnant last time i told all the people that mattered to me and told everyone else on facebook (lol) and as i didn't speak to them much at the time they didnt go in my list of super important people. When we met up they didnt congratulate me and one actually said "for a joke i was going to punch you in the tummy as you didnt tell me you were pregnant so how was i to know if i did punch you" and then they constantly kept asking me to go out and drink, blatenly ignoring my pregnant-ness.
When i mc'd i got no text or calls what so ever from them, and only ever got "do you want to go and get drunk?" texts.
So now im trying to cut them out of my life, i dont get invited to anything now because i dont drink. Everything with them is a drinking event, even a picnic on the beach!
So when i get to 12 weeks, again im not going to tell them to their faces.
Haha i had a little rant to then :rotfl:0 -
Just realised, I've jumped to joint 17th on the list! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hypno, Special care is not as scary as it sounds. Next time ask to have a look about. The good thing (and we like to hear about good things) is that you and baby will get lots of one to one attention that you wouldn't get on the ward. And it's nice and quiet so you get lots of special cuddles and if you choose to breast feed you get to do it with as much or as little help as you need/want and without the usual ignorant sod visiting his burd next to you always shoving the curtain aside with his big fat head!
Sugarspun, I'm wondering if that barman may be related to the guy that used to have the smoothy bar we just took over? He used to finish his game of pool before serving people, and now he doesn't know where he went wrong...
Blood sugar testing - I was told 4 times a day before food and before bedWill be reviewed next week about the need for insulin or not.
Nicki lots of *be good while Daddy is away baby or else!* vibes then??
DS1 was a September baby and it has taken him 3 years to catch up, so I think all depends on the child tbh.
Glam that is sucky about the insulin!
Quick question...
Would you guys be happy changing your baby on this in a cafe?? http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_124_10751_-1_14056_89565_10001_14056 (cos I'm just going to order it for the shop to go in the disabled toilet)0 -
oohhh should I add (induction or c section August 5th) to the list??? (I'm dead excited, it's real now that I can say on Aug 5th I will be having a baby one way or the other)0

How solid's the changing table tia? It looks like it might be a bit unstable for a determined wriggly older child.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
Looks nice Tia, and easy to keep clean on the top which is the most important.
You could consider a table with a changing mat on top for more stability as SS has suggested, X.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

It looks good and similar to the Jenny Giraffe one that we have got so I wouldn't have any issues with it.
Weren't you 24th earlier? Oh yeah - 4 weeks! Haha - if I go at 38 weeks that will be 8th September but I'm sticking with 22nd for now :rolleyes:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
8th Sept puts me at 30th on the list
now I might be down to single figures (9 weeks instead of 11) I'm panicking I won't be ready!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I picked it with DS2 in mind. He is too heavy for the wall mounted ones (plus they are £120 and I don't trust the walls especially as the one that was there was pulled down so easily you can see the holes where the screws have been yanked out) so I can't use them at all. Plus it has somewhere to put your nappy and wipes while the wall mounted one doesn't. And it has to be portable enough so that it can be removed in the event that someone in a wheelchair needs the extra space (they would have to be huge as it's a big disabled loo). And the others seem to have wheels which I don't like either. Will get it for now and see what it's like. There is always space in the ladies (and gents) on the counter where the sinks are for a wriggly child.0

Wow what a lot of big stuff going on...
Glam - sorry to hear about insulin every morning - that sounds like a real pain (in both senses!) Hope you're ok. Your blood pressure sounds really good, so at least you don't have that to worry about.
Re: friends, it's funny how big life events make people react in bizarre ways. weddings, funerals, babies... the stories am sure we all could tell.MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!
