moisturising does help stretchmarks - drinking plenty also helps however, if they are in your genes I don't think you can avoid them.

Given all the legal info to my other boss about paying me SMP even though I am leaving and she has reluctantly accepted that I am right and I can finish on 14th August, start ML on Sunday 16th and become employed by new employer on Monday 17th. They were trying to get me to just leave and then accept MA instead! Yea right - I'm not stupid!

So after today 28 days left in work :j:j:j:j

depending on how GD goes, I might bring it forward a week anyway so 23 days!!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Cheers Glam glad you agree re stretch marks, last time I said on here moisturisng seems to help.. thats given from friends of mine who did and didnt, I totally think it will help, I got my head bitten off, and was told "no amount of oiling/moisturing will help blah blah"

Hiya everyone! Guess what! Its raining so much here :money:
    :D

Im not a huge sun fan, but then again i dont like the rain. Hopefully it will stop by the time i finish work at 8pm.

Not feeling so good today, feel sick :( Yesterday went into tesco to get some mince and i stepped into the meat aisle and had to walk away as the smell made me feel sick lol. Made OH go and get it and i stood at the end nodding or shaking my head at the ones he was holding up lol.

Regarding the strech marks, i was told i would get them as my mum got them, no matter how much bio oil, cocoa butter etc i put on. Im still going to cover myself in it though.

Told my doc yesterday about being pregnant and he was so lovely, he said it made his day and congratulated me. And he's sent off a form to get my midwifery care started early. I didn't ask to have an early scan on the NHS, i forgot. So i think i'll just pay for it :)

Right am off now, take care! :) x

My travel cot off ebay came yesterday and it does look great, will only be able to tell when I actually use it though I suppose. It was £13.99 delivered brand new and they say samsonite which it does look exactly the same as the samsonite one only with a lovely teddybear pattern.

Apart from that I'm afraid I don't have much luck with getting bargains on ebay. I find that although the things have been used they are still bid up to just a few pounds short of what they would be new in the shops. I was hoping if I looked for things I could pick up locally that the price would be kept lower because of fewer people able to collect but Im finding I'm not too lucky with that either grr.

I got some lovely baby clothes from carboot a couple of weeks back 5 brand new outfits all next and disney for £7.50 and then a tesco bag full of almost new ones(7 outfits) all Next and M+S on sun for £4.50.

Waiting for my Mothercare delivery now with the free del and 2 discount codes someone posted on here (I think GISI - anyway thanks to whoever it was!). Got about £165 worth of stuff for about £120 delivered which wasn't too bad!

My mom said it also had something to do with whether you were carrying extra weight pre-preg, too. My mom didn't get any stretchmarks & I've already got loads at 15 1/2 wks!

I got a full set of stretch marks in the last couple of weeks of my last pregnancy (so don't always assume you've escaped them until the very end!) I did moisturise sporradically throughout the pregnancy but as I say think I got complacent towards the end thinking if I hadn't got them by that stage then I probably wouldn't(!)

Not taking any chances this time I certainly don't want any more thanks so I've stocked up on bio-oil and make sure I properly massage it in every day rather than just slathering it on. No new ones as yet (25 wks) but as I know there's still time:eek: I'll let you know if any show up!

Hey girlies - not post for a while, but have been keeping up ;)

No real news from me - I'm ff work this afternoon to go have my free Saks hair cut :J I really need it, I realised that I haven't had anything done to my hair since I got pregnant  but the sun has bleached it so it looks like I have highlights :)

On the streatchmark front, I have only got them within the past two weeks, and only on bum cheeks/tops of thighs :( I have been using palmers cocoa butter and a bodyshop cocoa something or other. I must admit I have't been paying attention to this area so maybe thats why

Also just found out my so called mate is having a girly night up at hers friday night and has said nothing to me. !!!!! The only reason why out of all the girls going i would have been the only one with an boyfriend and they all will be drinking !!! Just want to cry, have a mate coming to meet me for lunch. Hope everyone is ok and i am covering myself in bio oil and palmers cocca butter.
