  • Morning all.

First nct class last night - eye-opener. Not what we were told, which was all pretty straight forward, but the other people! DH was particularly shocked as the other guys were like 'planning to take a few days off... rather get back to work... boring bit... leave the wife to it' Bless him, he was all up in arms about how depressing it was men weren't interested in being involved. I was so proud of him! :D I am a lucky lucky girl.

I had in the end to 'fess up we were considering a homebirth or MLBU as ppl couldn't imagine why you'd choose that. It was actually quite sad as most of the women didn't even know they had choices about these things. Surely whatever you want, you should at least be able to choose that in an informed way?

We are now the weirdies in the group :p

Hypnobirthing tonight - hopefully more weirdies there!!

just to let everyone know -- my SMP was based on what i earnt -- i hadnt made enough to qualify for SMP, so need to apply for MA. I have worked for the company for 7 years!!!

 How annoying for you  I thought I was going to be in your position cos the tight so and so's i work for dont pay sick pay or when you cant work due to technical problems but somehow managed to qualify. Hopefully the MA will work out okay for you and they dont take too long to sort it out!! Make sure you submit the payslips from the last 66 weeks that you got paid the most on :D

Oh yes, it is based on what you earn if you earn less than the £123 a week. If you earn anymore than the £123 then you don't get any extra.
    Thanks Carla :o

Beenie - glad ur results came back OK.

Tara - you've just reminded me about Bio-Oil. TIA - we got our 200ml bottles at the same time, I have about half left - what about you? I am sure I use far too much!

Nicki - Thanks! Thinking about it OH could probably manage Enchiladas and Fajitas on his own but I'll look at them as well for freezing.

:( It appears that the scourges of pregnancy that I've so far escaped have happened over the last couple of days.

I have stretch marks. On my feet. And a pile.

Utterly miserable. Perhaps only copying tia and scouring ebay for cute clothes for 99p will save me. I just saw a gorgeous little dress for 99p and couldn't figure out why no one was bidding - and then I saw postage. £3.50 for 2nd class? :rotfl:

Right 2nd time lucky.. i have such bad cramp in my calves today ouchhh... sitting at desk isnt helping. I also need to remember to do my pelvic floor, totally forget, anyone else doing these do you do the tensing toilet thing?

I also swear by e-bay got loads of lush bits 0-3 months and my dad bought us a few new bits for newborn eekkk.

I wrote on facebook about an oil the baby mag recommended, ill pop name of it up later but helps stretch marks, bad skin and helps relax you.. and can help if your feeling a bit down in the dumps, so ill defo try. I oil up a least twice a day all over palmers and mama mio for tummy, which so far has been great. I know no proof that moisturising helps stretch marks, but I'm not going to rule it out.

    Hope you're all ok xx
