Feeling good today as have done a load of towels and tumbled them, bedlinen is in the wash now, will get Oh to put new linen on when he comes home, have put a maternity pad on the bed in case my waters go () and have also tidied up downstairs a bit.

Will be doing some more batch cooking tonight as well to get some more meals into the freezer for after the baby is born. So far I have a chilli and three lots of bolognese in there, and this should add at least one meals' worth of turkey with leeks in cream sauce, if not two.

No idea how people manage to get more than about a week's meals cooked and frozen though!

a pad?!!!!! are u expecting things to start any time? any twinges we don't know about or just being cautious?!!

I had 2 x BH in work today - threw me a bit!

I can't think of anything else to batch cook and freeze other then the following - need some inspiration!
    Chilli, Bolognese, curry, casserole/stew

Need to research RLT as local health shop has it for £1.29 for 20 bags but want to check online first.

tara - sounds like you are doing the right thing.

sorry you have had to give up your cat but i am sure you have made the right choice, this is what worries me with my older cat. She is quite protective over me so that is worrying also her hair gets everywhere as it's quite fine white hair. My cousin knows someone who will have her but so unsure as what to do. !!
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

*will let Glam research RLT and buy whatever she finds* lol!

In my defence I am busy trying to find a cheap changing unit for new shop, tables and chairs, making up leaflets and starting the menu's.

    Thanks Lou and Glam.

Pinkpig, can't see my bubs shifting anywhere soon either. Soooo fed up!!! OH is late for everything, family joke, and the only other baby I've had that was late was his so I guess it's in their genes.
Too many children, too little time!!!

I'm home after an eventful Monday. My deputy has just told me that he spent the weekend with two people who have now been diagnosed with Swine Flu! Marvellous!! Will wait and see if he develops symptoms but I get the sense that it is not a good idea for pregnant ladies to catch it. Part of me just wants to stay home to avoid contact, but I know that's not practical.

Tia- the new cafe sounds great...how exciting.

Skinty- so glad you got your MA sorted. I just find all this benefits type stuff so complicated and I though sorting out payroll at work was bad!

Pinkpig and Tara- sending you both lots of labour vibes.

Just having a yummy tea of beetroot risotto and garlic bread. Delicious.

Here is my RLT plan - what do we think?

    Week 34 – 1 cup a day 7
    Week 35 – 2 cup a day 14
    Week 36 – 3 cups a day 21
    Week 37 – 3 cups a day 21
    Week 38 – 3 cups a day 21
    Week 39 – 3 cups a day 21
    Week 40 – 4 cups a day 28
    Week 41 – 4 cups a day 28
    Week 42 – 4 cups a day 28

    Total = 189 tea bags

If I buy 200, I can get them for 93p per 20 bags plus £2.70 delivery.

GISI - one of my GP's said she had flu like symptoms and thought it mightg be swine flu
They aren't swabbing anymore so we will no longer know if people actually have it or whether it's normal flu. We just have to treat nbut it's not great in 2nd and 3rd trimester!

That's a pretty good price Glam- where's that from?

To be honest it hadn't occurred to me that Swine flu would be particularly bad in pregnancy until I saw someone ask on another forum yesterday. Then today I walk into work to that news!

Apparently as a pregnant woman you're more likely to be susceptible because your immune system's lowered, but the baby's well protected against normal strains of flu - no word on whether this one can cross the placenta but since it seems only to be severe in patients who are already immunosuppressed I wouldn't lock yourself away rubbing Vicks on yourself and wearing seventeen masks day and night.

Equally though I wouldn't get too close to known sources of potential infection.

I had a guy ring up today who had flu symptoms for last 5 days and wanted anti-virals - rang him back and he was in work

Some people have no sense! I'm just hoping they don't start flocking into the surgery - think I'll stay holed up in my office for the next few weeks.
