We got 7 applicants for my maternity cover (!) I have to say I was surprised but I think there has been a few redundancies in a firm close by so there are a few people looking for jobs even temporary ones.
Right me and OH are off to look at a car we saw on Autotrader tonight (our car can only fit a pushchair in the boot and nothing else!) - 2 hours drive away so I am off to get a snack to keep me going.
Catch you later xTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -

Skinty, great news that you got your MA sorted!!!
Tara, I'm sure your doing what's best for your cat and she will get a loving new home. Not the easiest decision to make but you are doing it for the right reasons.
I forgot what else I was going to say.... need to get dinner on but I have news first... we got the keys to our new cafe!!! Went down for a nosey about, we need to buy equipment, tables, chairs, even ladies/gents signs (last tenant took everything he could and then pee'd in ever toilet! Dirty !!!!!!!) but it is lovely. Fancy sinks in the toilets, open and airy and once we get rid of the lime green paint it will stop hurting my head! And I can park my car up the back for free!!! Woot-woot!!!! (it's in the town centre see)0 -
skinty - the MA can be confusing, I know, as I waded through it a few months ago. I was thinking when you posted earlier that if you only changed to small earnings certificate earlier this year, then you probably qualified by having 26 wks of the test period anyway. So glad it's all sorted for you and you are getting it!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Thanks Tia, think I would have given it a go but OH is terrified cat will hurt bubs which I think once she's moving around he's right. What I didn't want was him taking out his anger on her if she did, she was my cat not his.
Great news about your cafe, I'm sure you'll sort it out in no time. XToo many children, too little time!!!0 -

You might be entitled to the paltry sum of £27 a week MA - I think almost anyone can get that. Why not call teh number I posted before and ask them?My cat's being re-homed tomorrow!
Aww, that's sad but sounds like you're doing the right thing if she lashes out.skinty - the MA can be confusing, I know, as I waded through it a few months ago. you'd think, if it's such a common mistake, they'd make it extra-clear which year they are referring to wouldn;t you? They must know us preggy women get things wrong! Still, it's sorted out now and I am no longer sobbing uncontrollably while the cat tries to comfort me, so that's good.
Feeling good today as have done a load of towels and tumbled them, bedlinen is in the wash now, will get Oh to put new linen on when he comes home, have put a maternity pad on the bed in case my waters go (:eek:) and have also tidied up downstairs a bit.
Will be doing some more batch cooking tonight as well to get some more meals into the freezer for after the baby is born. So far I have a chilli and three lots of bolognese in there, and this should add at least one meals' worth of turkey with leeks in cream sauce, if not two.
No idea how people manage to get more than about a week's meals cooked and frozen though!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Sending you labour vibes Tara - although I'm not sure I've actually got any!
It's weird to think that this time next week I'll definitely have my baby though!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0
