Don't blame you- we pay for it!

Harley- I guess I just thought they'd be more excited about their first grandchild, but my step-mother just asked me how many months I am. Ummm....23 weeks which is why I emailed you a 20 weeks scan three weeks ago, funny that! Just invited me and OH up to there's, hour and a half away in a couple of weeks. After I'd accepted mentioned my Dad won't be there, and also can I give my Gran a lift. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind giving her a lift but just think that is why we were invited! Also wouldn't have been so keen to accept if I'd known my dad wouldn't be there......my days off are very precious at the moment so am now feeling a bit like I'm wasting one!

GISI, I'm sure you are much nicer than i am but if it was me I think I would wait til a couple of days before then say I was tired and didn't think I had the energy for the drive and I'd prefer to save it for a time when dad is there too .

But, I can be a bit of a cow when people seem to think that I am here to fit in with them, especially when they try to disguise the fact that they are using me, that just annoys me even more.

Maybe you will enjoy it once you get there but it does seem a shame that you will miss your dad

What is with this site today?
DS has been very good today. And i got him in bed by 7.30pm. He has been playing me up recently, so i am very pleased.

Had planned to iron tonight, but am too tired, so just done whats needed for school and for me for work. Am shattered, haven't felt this tired before, even with all the heat last week. Maybe its from the stress of OH being in hospital again..

    Speaking of which Rant Alert!
How come, as his partner, mother of his child and unborn child and full time worker my needs are not prioritised by his parents. I have visited OH in the afternoon, whilst it is the weekend, so they have had to go at night. And they are not happy. But i have a 5 year old that wants to see his dad, and i wanted him to see his dad and get him in bed at a reasonable time, because next week he will be shattered.

They know damn well that i work full time and have to go to evening visiting in the week, unlike them, who do not work and can go in the day. Poor DS either comes with me or goes to my mums, I then visit, then pick him up and get him in bed by 9pm. Which is really late for him, so it is important that, to me at least he gets to see his dad and to bed early as mcuh as possible as the weekends.

And they are not impressed, their lives are so hectic that they want to be in their PJ's by 5pm. They have just had OH ring me to check what time i will be visiting tomorrow. !!!!!!, how many times I WORK all day. He's either being as stupid as them or just doing it to appease them. Or maybe they are all trying to make me feel guilty. I'm not having any time off, as my maternity leave has just been arranged and it includes all of this years holiday entitlement, except for one day, which is earmarked for DS's first school sports day!

And above all i'm bloody 29 weeks pregnant!

    What is it with inlaws???!!!!

I'm not shocked just wish they weren't so horrible and treat everybody like low life, as they do things wrong too!

Ben had a lovely birthday thanks, I'm glad he had all the fuss before bubs came along apart from a couple of people who have said they'll wait for when they visit the baby to give him his present and card which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. Didn't want him feeling second best!

Sweep tomorrow so will keep everyone updated, fingers crossed! X

    How are you?

    Evening ladies!

Things are really moving along for me now. Contractions are every 5-7 minutes and are getting really strong now. I have rang the delivery suite and have been told to wait until they get unbearable before coming in. OMG I might have a baby by tomorrow night :j.

Might not get on here again tonight, so good luck and labour vibes to pinkpig and tara.

PS. MrsM thank you for the lovely pictures.
