rant away GISI - YOU'VE LISTENED TO US ENOUGH TIMES. (sorry, forgot to take caps lock off. Not shouting, honest xx)

Sorry they are not as excited as you would hope, maybe they will be more interested nearer the time. My parents are only just coming round, though I think that is more to do with the 'single mother' issue than the actual grandchild

EA- nice to see you! It is hot down here, isn't it. Just got the washing in and watered the garden and now feel like going to sit in a pub garden. Unfortunately OH is at work till 8. Do you have a nice doctor? I think they won't usually refer you for an early scan after one mc, but if you get on with your doctor then they may well be willing too. Fingers crossed as I'm sure you'd rather spend that £80 on lovely baby things!

Yeah my doctor is lovely, when i went to see him about me keep getting light headed, he mesaured my blood pressure and told me to stand up and my heart dropped a couple of beats. So he ordered me loads of blood tests and an ECG on my heart. That hurt :( The nasty nurse pretty much waxed the sticky things off me!
I changed doctors a while ago and i love this place, excpet the long waiting times for appointments, but i guess it comes with having a good doctors surgery :)

Plus with this surgery i dont have to go to hospital for blood tests etc, as its a health centre :D

Im just going to mention that as the last one was a missed miscarriage it would be reasurring to have an early one if its possible. Im trying to be mse and get things from the nhs haha.

Don't blame you- we pay for it!

Harley- I guess I just thought they'd be more excited about their first grandchild, but my step-mother just asked me how many months I am. Ummm....23 weeks which is why I emailed you a 20 weeks scan three weeks ago, funny that! Just invited me and OH up to there's, hour and a half away in a couple of weeks. After I'd accepted mentioned my Dad won't be there, and also can I give my Gran a lift. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind giving her a lift but just think that is why we were invited! Also wouldn't have been so keen to accept if I'd known my dad wouldn't be there......my days off are very precious at the moment so am now feeling a bit like I'm wasting one!

Sitting in my bedroom with the windows closed (hot) as my extremely stuck up neighbours (freelance social workers) have visitors staying and they're all round the side of the house smoking grass! Got soo strong it gave me a headache. They haven't even waited until their own kids are in bed!!!

Hi everyone :D hope your weekend has been a good one.
I had a really relaxing day yesterday, just sat in the garden with hubby and my boy,had a bbq, was lovely. Today we went to a car boot and managed to get some gorgeous baby bargains before it absolutley p1ssed it down and everyone made a mad dash for their cars! Then came home and got more bargains on ebay, so really pleased and can't wait for them to come :D No work tommorow as kids are off school due to a teacher training day,so planning on a cleaning frenzy.

I'm not shocked just wish they weren't so horrible and treat everybody like low life, as they do things wrong too!

Ben had a lovely birthday thanks, I'm glad he had all the fuss before bubs came along apart from a couple of people who have said they'll wait for when they visit the baby to give him his present and card which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. Didn't want him feeling second best!

Sweep tomorrow so will keep everyone updated, fingers crossed! X

    How are you?

EA it's awful that it's so hard for you to get an early scan. I had bleeding at 11 wks with this pregnancy so went to casualty, they couldn't tell me what could be causing it and the dr just said there's a drop in EP scan clinic two days a wk, go in and they will scan you, I went the next morning and my name wasn't even on a list I just said I'd had a bleed and they sent me in.

It's sad that you can't seem to get one so easily. A friend of mine who is a midwife at a different hospital to mine had even said to me that if I wanted to get an early scan I should just say I've had a bit of blood - I said I wouldn't as I didn't want to tempt fate but then I had a bleed anyway.

Hope you get your mind put at rest soon x

Somnium- is yours the cot with the shelves at the ends? I'm loving it! Where did you pick it up for that price. We've bought bits from thge start really, started with the less babyish bits in the early days like drawers and cupboard but it is fab to have now got this far and only have nice bits and pieces to buy instead of lots of big things!

GISI - no its just the cot version with the cute circles on either end, the cot bed had the shelves. I bought it a few months back before we even started IVF cos I was determined it would happen one day and was too good a bargain to miss. Its currently being stored at my friends house as we dont have the room. It was from work and we didnt even realise it had gone in the sale, we found it at the back of the stock room and price checked it to see what it was, and had gone to £48 so I snapped it up, and after discount was £38. we also have a cot bed lurking somewhere in the stock room, was £300 now £100 or something like that. Am sure many other MCs have stock like that lurking in stock rooms and not on display, usually returns in our case.

Its the same here, i dont want to tempt fate. I've emailed the scan company in our area to see what exactly you get for the £80 like pictures wise, as some do a cd full of picss and others only print one. And i'd like a few to give to my mum and dad etc.
I had a dream last night that i had a miscarriage in my bathroom at home and i was home alone and then i dreamt i was awake and went to the toilet to check and was bleeding. I then actually woke up with a shock and went to the toilet and i was fine.

My appointment is at 4:30pm tomorrow though so i'll know by tomorrow :)

Right im off home now, speak soon everyone :) x
