I have my phone on one of those USB holders that lights up u get a call or text. Because I am on 3 and my phone always seems to roam for signal it keeps going flashing - don't normally mind but driving me mad cos I'm waiting for a call!!!

Very quiet on here today! Usual suspects are either in labour, looking after LO's or lying naked under a fan somewhere - wish I was doing th ethird one instead of in work!

Oh also.. gave work my letter last week with dates etc.. and met with MD he said umm when is your last day i say 22nd, then what is your due date? I say 22nd Oct.. he thinks I'm crazy working up until due date.. but i work in an office so not on my feet or manual work.. also they are looking at getting temp in for the 3 months im off, but i feel my assistant will do a fab job.. so ive said ill do the 10K IT days to also bump my Mat pay up if I can, and I can work remotely from home if anything urgent crops up. Is working up until due date too much to ask?

I put 19th Oct because that's the monday but no idea if I will actually be able to work until then. Just couldn't bear the though of sitting around the house all day by myself especially with no family close by to visit.

    nanc - hugs!

Nanc and Jenny - I felt just like you, my ML starts on the Sunday and I'm due the Tuesday. ML needs to start on a Sunday.

This is the response I had from my boss

As we note you intend to work until the 20th September 2009 which is the week in which your baby is due, for health and safety reasons we will undertake a full maternity risk assessment mid August at which point we may make recommendations as to whether we consider it would be suitable for you to continue to work until this time.

To be honest I am struggling now at 28 weeks so have arranged to take 4 weeks hols before this so finish 21st August but I may move this forward by a week or so depending on how I get on over the next 2 weeks.

Like MountainLioness said - I too am normally very independent and thought it would be business as usual but I really am struggling now. The lack of sleep, the heat, swollen feet etc all take their toll.

    Hello Pregnant ladies.

I'm just popping over from the parent thread to let you know I've just been in Mothercare, and they have loads of maternity and feeding bras reduced - mostly in bigger sizes (E, F, G, H) although still some C's and D's.

I just got a pretty feeding one, white with red polka dots one for £8. (pretty and feeding don't normally go in the same sentence!)

Thanks 3 - these are also available on the website so don't forget about cashback!!!

Nanc, sorry to hear about puss, but at least she is with the vet who will no doubt be spoiling her and keeping a very close eye on her.

I too have serious doubts as to whether I will be able to work until bubs is due, I think if it ever cools down I will find it a bit easier. I have committed to working up until the Friday before she is due but I fully intend to get signed off if it becomes too difficult. Only problem is there is a high profile project due to finish end Sept that I would like to see through. I have told my team that I want it finished by early Sept but the timing is quite tight already so any slips and I will have to hand it over. I really don't want someone else to take all the credit for my work if they only do the last 2 weeks.

Have you all seen martins new calculator for Child Tax Credit? It is a link from the weekly email. Doesn't show the WTC element though and the lady on the phone didn't break it down for me so I don't know if it is right or not. I was trying to figure out if I was better off using the Busy Bees vouchers or Tax Credits but its still not clear. I'm not very good with numbers.

TBH - it's just been the last 2 weeks or so but I feel like I'm slowing right down. I feel sorry for OH when I ask him to get up and get me something because I know it'll take me a good few minutes just to get out the chair!!

I think I'll see if I get this other job - if I do I will start mat leave a bit earlier as I wouldn't mind going back earlier to this new job. On the other hand, I'm getting sick of this job so will be a relief to finish!
