I need someone to tell me to stop being a brat!

We have been given a practically brand new travel system. The only problem being that I don't like it. I can't say any more than that, it is perfectly good and I have no concerns regarding the car seat having been damaged as i know where it has come from. I wasn't planning on spending hundreds anyway but I did want something new and that we had chosen. (most of everything else has come from carboots, ebay etc) I am stressing myself out about this!!!!

I had a travel system with DS. It was quite large and after about a year I wanted something different. Maybe you could choose a new stroller/lighter buggy when the baby is a little older?

Does it fit in the boot of your car OK? Is it easy to use? Just thinking of some excuses why it might not be suitable!

Thanks pink! That is going to be my sneaky, little plan!!

I am grateful for the 'donation' and it will save us a fortune, as others i have spoken to have said, like you that they wanted something lighter quite soon.
  • hey all - just had to go and lie down in our occupational health room as it was too hot :(

am going to have to have serious word with self and be a bit more realistic about what I can and can't do. Have been so determined to be 'business as usual' like and not make a fuss but maybe have to accept I need to take things a little easier...

Wow I could have written that! I'm hating feeling like this - I'm feeling unproductive but I'm trying my hardest. Think I need to seriously look at what I can manage.
This morning I was getting out of the car and didn't open the car door properly - it swung back and hit my hard on my side. I went a bit woozy and felt sick but fortunately was going for my GTT so I asked the MW to have a feel and a listen and she said it seemed OK but to monitor movements (which have been fine). I wonder if it would have happened if I wasn't so spaced out!

GTT went OK, need to ring back at 3.30pm for results. The drink tasted like bread which was weird!

Glad your GTT went well Glam, mine too. Drink tasted of nasty cheap orange squash but was bearable - just. Glad I'm home now though as it is far too hot and I feel quite weak. I've been drinking a bottle of coke as suggested by the phlebologist as apparently it is a nice quick way of getting your sugar back up and the caffiene helps perk you up too.

Fingers crossed for your results. The letter says they will ring me if there is a problem, had a missed call earlier from withheld number but only 30 mins after leaving hospital so I'm guessing its not them that quickly.

Would have rathered cheap orange than liquid bread!!!
They gave me boscuits afterthey'd taken the 2nd bloods and I waited a bit cos they said that it's not good to fast for so long, then be overloaded with sugar (the drink) and then get up after 2 hours.
Was OK and had a big KFC on the way to work! Just raided the choccies in reception!

It wouldn't have been them that quickly but don't you hate missed calls off withheld numbers! I'm hoping to hear about the job I went for today!

    Hello Pregnant ladies.

I'm just popping over from the parent thread to let you know I've just been in Mothercare, and they have loads of maternity and feeding bras reduced - mostly in bigger sizes (E, F, G, H) although still some C's and D's.

I just got a pretty feeding one, white with red polka dots one for £8. (pretty and feeding don't normally go in the same sentence!)
