My kids are 7 and 8 now, and I have told them we are not doing the big parties anymore. It was getting that it was costing me about £100 each time as well as party bag stuff etc. But now they say they want friends round for tea instead but not sure I want kids running around the house
My DDs bday is October so I need to decide pretty soon what we are doing!
well done on ebay stuff.
My DS's 7 in a couple of weeks and we are taking 3 of his friends to the pictures and then they're coming back here for tea. The last couple of years he's had one at a pub play area so this will be cheaper. DD who's 8 went to see the pantomine with 3 of her friends (her birthday's in January) and I paid with Tesco vouchers.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Bless him ! He sounds as if he's ready for it.
He may even want to skip the potty completely and go for the toilet like his brother. It was only my first that ever had a potty as the others just copied each other. The big bonus for you is no more nappies ! :j
The weather is lovely today, I love days like this to lift the mood.
How crafty of you to put the spread in a flora tub..I love it!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

We only spent about £100 of our own money altogether, and that was the Duck, parking costs, diesel, and the odd snacks we had. So really, having 2 expensive nights out and the hotel as well, we had about a £400-500 break very cheaply. Youchy if we had really paid that, it is so good i am a MSEr.
The hotel was right near Q car parking, and on the same street as central train station. The docks were about 10 minutes walk away, and the shopping on the doorstep. We had a nice room with a double bed, and a sofa that was a bed if you needed. It had telly, wardrobe space, fridge and safe. There was a shower room and a separate toilet. There was a small pool, steam room and gym down in the basement. We really liked it, and tried our absolute best to get best value for money by eating our own body weight at the breakfast buffet, and then not eating again till the evening. Just in case you are still interested for your nan?
Thanks Michelle, thats sounds great. I must know where it is, but I just cant place it. I'm down in Liverpool this weekend so I'll keep my eyes open lol0 -

3 wees on the potty is better than 2 accidents. He's done very well for the first day. :T Are you trying again tomorrow ? Offer him a reward..males ALWAYS like rewards no matter how old they are
How did you DH like his Flora ?

Arr how cute about the ironing board and iron. My first two had little tikes hoovers that they pushed around everywhere and even "parked" them up side by side... I wished they knew how to hoover properly now !
I've been wondering whether I should change it or not TBH. I think I'm just going to phase that one out after I've had the baby..and after the challenge of course..it'll make it easier that way all round. Thanks for thinking about it though.I'm sorry if I upset you about the Flora comment. I meant it was "crafty" putting it in a flora tub...I knew exactly where you was coming from as my OH is the same..he wouldn't actually bother about it but he prefers the real thing
Hope you all enjoy the farm tomorrow and the weathers good for you
