  • Hugs, Michelle. One of the flyladies suggested we let the government start at level 1 for a few weeks and then expect them to ramp it up to level 2!!

Do you keep a notebook by your bed so you can jot this stuff down at 4 am? I need a list for home and one for work.

It's about the same amount - but tehy can't just transfer it across (I asked) I really MUST look at alternatives suppliers - we've been with these 4 years.....! A casserole looks a good idea for today - brrrr!!!!

  • Michelle I'm praying for your Dad.

Could you fix your mortgage? Maybe that wouldn't help?

I do look at moving, but our current supplier was always the cheapest for us (you know it must be good when you say who you're with to the callers at the door and they say 'ok then' and go.... :D) I know they're not now, though.... :( Our standard mtge payment at our current fix is almost a £1000 - dread to think what that would be at 15% - I'm not going to look and scare myself........ Fingers crossed re your dad x - and apologies for lack of paragraphs - keyboard has some sticky keys.......

Think there are calculators on here to help you decide, or is that only if you're on a fix already?

eta can you bodge a calculation with this? http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/fixed-discount-mortgage-guide#calc

  • Ok that was rather more of a bodge than I hoped for!!

Maybe its cos it is going from fixed to var rate and you want to go the other way (or not!)

I like your idea with the jelly and the bananas, I have some that are at chucking stage, might use them with custard.
I have done well with the NSDs as I have had enough fruit, veg, milk and frozen rolls which meant I havent had to pop to the shop :)

I've done that with someone before! I love it...you can hear them getting flustered. The person I was talking too got a bit rude and then hung up on me. I was :rotfl:
