You say this, but the advisor I spoke to just picked a date to start from and went from there. She wasn't phased at all by the fact I had near on three months to play with and no idea where I wanted to go. She even hunted through her computer system, entering different dates to see which dates were cheaper. So it can be done without dates. I think it all depends how much effort the advisor can be bothered to put in.
i agree - had excellent travel agent last week and once theyve got gist of what i wanted and found it on one day they searched entire month for two hols and managed to find me a 2 week break covering both options for £100 more than the quote for one or the other options. if i had had the money i would have sooooo booked it as an amazing deal. travel agent was superb as was last time i went to that particular client but other ones in between have been dire. you sell holidays that means try selling them and not just act like your machine isnt working when you are the one typing in wrong information
no offence meant towards people in here who i am sure are excellent travel agents but i really have had to tolerate some useless ones and not branches i will ever be bookking a holiday with (IF I had the money for a holiday of course :rotfl:)0 -
Yup, it's called using your initiative, or however it is spelled (I'm tired!).
If the member of staff looks for holidays say, within the next 4 weeks (what I'd class as a late deal), and the customer say's he's looking for something in 3 months' time, then it's he who is the moron, not the Travel Agent.) are more than willing to spend hours looking at hols for you at thats our job!
I have still to do the Tern job, and have NO jobs lined up at all
Anyway Monkey I would like to see your SS so will keep an eye put for itSealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

That govt department jobby has a bit of a glitch on the quiz (or did this morning-but they said they would bring it up as it was wrong) on the age question. Ignore the bit of the brief's upper age limit -it's a little lower.
Also I had a station job on RE that had managed to have different dates completely for the oither part ie it seemed to say I needed to do the bigger payment one this week and the lower amount questionaire next week. They are looking into it and don't know if it was a one off or if other jobs for that group are affected so check carefullyI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hey all - catching up with the thread after a full day out and about..
I had a RE doughnuts visit today - a dozen sugary unhealthy doughnuts, most of them sitting in the fridge... not good! :Ppinkprincess39 wrote: »Just got an email from GAP re a closed down phone shop I tried to do. Apparantly I only get a closed down shop fee for this which in this case is half the fee!! Has anyone else had this cos i thought they paid the lot?
When this happened to me I got the full fee!
Station jobs dates - I got a personal reply to my email indicating all my jobs had been extended, I went on and found only one of them had, so emailed back saying so, then later got a general email to all shoppers saying they'd all been extended and all of mine have.
Changing briefing notes - I have taken to always saving a PDF of anything to my computer now -briefing notes, completed reports, whatever. I reckon that way I have a copy of what I read, when I read it, as I read it to present to them should they ever try anything funny...Dan

I find the mind reading skills I aquired as a travel agent come in very handy when trying to fix some-one's internet problems by phone (especially the ones who have shall I say somewhat limited understanding of their PC)
I used to hate the "we'll go anywhere" brigade-you'd start suggesting places and you'd get "No don't want Spain" then "Nah not there either my neighbour didn't like it" and "No we went there last year" Arghhhhh !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

In my opinion, you have a little too much to say for yourself for someone who openly admits to not doing MS for very long
So how long does one have to have been mystery shopping before one is entitled to have an opinion ............................In "your opinion" then ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

im bumping myself as unless anyone can help me with this phone call im cancelling it in next half an hour as cannot see how reimbursement can possibly be enough - i would not recommend these calls to anyone because of this and is probably why it had been released
The reimbursement is just a perk I think , I saw a few of these yesterday morning so not sure if they were released ones or new uploads. Before accepting the job I checked out the companys website as in the assignment notes to see if there was anything reasonable but there wasnt so didnt take one , I assume they were only suitable if you were already intending purchasing from the site anyway and just wanted something towards your purchase.0 -
lily_the_pink wrote: »lol - we have all been there - you will need to register for all of the companies seperately - (I cant put there names up for obvious reasons - if you do a search on this thread or one of the old ones there will be some cryptic clues as to the ids and how to register - or just contact them). RED Catalogue is the easiest to guess - if you google this and the name of the mystery shopping company it should turn up the registration page.
reading these posts with interest, as I've had the same problem. Once I've logged into the homepage, however, when I click on 'update my details' I get redirected to another login page. Once i've re-entered my username and password, the login pages just keeps coming up. Any ideas?
EDIT: oops never mind, it's decided to let me onto the page after 20ish attempts!0 -

I got paid in full for a closed down travel agent. The shop was actually relocated from 1st floor to ground floor but they put both addresses on as 2 jobs, I did the other one and emailed them. They called me back to say they would pay me the fees as this was not my fault.0 -
