I wrote an awful report (as in a bad report on the sales advisor) at the weekend so I'm waiting for the client to question that one... one of the rudest people I have ever met. It was for a travel agent and my breif told me to be flexible with dates as I wanted to get the best deal etc but she refused to even look at holidays for me until I had a specific date in mind and told me that if I wasn't going to book today there was no point coming in as I was just wasting my time (and hers presumably!). Didn't show me any resorts, refused to give me a brochure, was very snappy and curt and so I hope she feels a bit bashful once she sees her report.

Oh dear..I think I had the same job job on Saturday, but a complete opposite experience!! The advisor I had couldn't have done more to find me a really good deal. She was fantastic and we ended up having to stop looking as she had found me loads of great hotels but didn't want to bombard me with too much info! I had brochures piled up in front of me, she was telling me about customer reviews, opened the door for me when I left and even called me today to follow up on my query!! I was worried that my report may be too positive, but I wrote it how it was. Funny how branches differ so much isn't it! :rotfl:
  • Mr Monkey , whilst I am nearly always in support of all you say , even with your red pen , I must say that some of your comments are a little derogatory towards women , yep the woman you dealt with sounds a right nightmare but hey calling her a dumb b*tch , thats not nice !

    P.S. Any news on the spreadsheet ...... x !!!!

I had this on Saturday too. Was out MSing a shop, and had 45 minutes to kill before I could go back for my refund, so after going to a stationery shop to get my receipt copied, i thought I'd pop into a Travel Agent to price up a late deal.

I went in, and approached one of the advisors, and said "I'm looking to see whether you have any late deals going to XX".

She replied with "When are you looking to travel?"

(I asked for a late deal you dumb b*tch, isn't that a silly question?! I didn't say that, I'm too polite, believe it or not!)

So I said "Well...whenever really, I can go anytime"

She said, getting the t*t on with me "Well I need a date in order to search"

(In hindsight I should've just walked out and told her to shove it, but I didn't)

So I said as sarcasticly(sp?) as possible: "Well, take your pick, tomorrow...the day after...the day after that...next week...the week after that...WHEN-EVER"

What is wrong with people !!!!!!, she clearly was not enjoying being in a stuffy office on a glorious Saturday afternoon. Either that or she didn't pull the night before, or it was the time of the month.

I reckon it was a combination of the three.

I wouldn't mind, but the destination that I mentioned should have had her begging for my business, this wasn't exactly the Costa Del Sol, if you know what i mean (not that there's anything wrong with the Costa Del Sol, I'm not knocking it!).

    ARGH!!!

Sorry but I am going to defend travel agents as I work in one (i do the money though!) We do need a date to look for holidays and when people come in saying I want cheap anywhere anydate and then we find something they say things like I can't go then....thats too expensive.....I don't want to go there because they have refused to give us any info when we ask!
These questions you were asked are all part of the required standard that we must follow - ok we don't have to be rude or curt with it but if peiople get funny answering our questions then it makes our job alot harder!!!!
I don't usually do posts like this but this really did annoy me as it's so hard at the moment and we have to follow our questions otherwise we get in the sh*t from our managers.
I am sorry you had a bad experience but being sarcastic after not giving a date to check for probably really didn't help you. I do not take kindly to people who belittle me at work as at the end of the day it is just my job and I have to do as I am told
    End of rant

*groan* just been out to do an energy supply stand for RE and they never turned up !!! - to make things worse I got caught out in the rain and got absolutely soaked wet through walking down town. :(

    Hi,

I had one of these booked for today as well. However, RE rang me this morning to say that the client had pulled out of the evaluation as they would not be at the venues. Luckily, I hadn't left yet! Poor you very annoying when that happens.

Who are TERN? I have tried to go back through this thread including the list of ms companies on the first page but it is hard finding the initial refence to them.

It's still too much of a giveaway IMO. People previously have just put "Government building visits" and I think if they MUST be posted, that is what ought to be used...

In my opinion, you have a little too much to say for yourself for someone who openly admits to not doing MS for very long

Don't worry, I'd have given an equally appropriate insult had it been a bloke, as I've encountered many a thick bloke too!

Going to post about spreadsheet in a sec, coincidentally!

I didn't belittle her at work, though I probably should've, but it'd takes MUCH more than that to make me embarrass someone in front of their work colleagues and customers.

They're pretty good IMO, good fees, good system (though some don't like it), good staff, just a shame they don't have more clients.

    HTHs.

After several weeks of neglect, I'll be posting a link to download the spreadsheet tomorrow, probably in the morning.

I don't know at this stage whether it'll be a final version, that depends on the feedback and whether any bugs/errors are found.

    Sorry it's taken sooooooo long!
