Application form in but it does feel a bit pointless as I have been informed that the other person will not be applying to technically the job is mine. Mixed feelings about it though as I think alot of the other person.

Anyway, I am tying myself in knotts about something......

So the job will be mine, OK.

This means that I will be the only person running the courses, I have a feeling that they are going to offer me a full time position in September as it is going to be impossible on a 0.8 contract.

I have already enrolled on a course all day Tuesday which I will need for next September so that is one day down.

I am also being encouraged to apply for an additional role (unpaid but get hols and remmission) which if I get might actually be the opening I need to launch my career into the area that I want (teacher training).......

I have always been there to take the boys to school and bring them back at hometime and this new role will mean that ~DS2 will have to get the bus home possibly 3 times in the week.............

Maybe these opportunities wont come around again, do I put my career first for the first time ever in my life.......or do I wait until DS2 leaves school in 2 years time????

Things are OK - work is still boring but bearable (although I have just applied for a new job), running is going good, off on a little break to see some friends next weekend which I'm looking forward to.. and everything else is a bit meh

Wow Lou that's a biggy...

How old is DS2? IF he's that close to leaving school perhaps it is time to put your career first. What does your OH think? What do your boys think?

DS2 is 14 and DS1 is 16 (he will be at 6th form in Sept)

The thing is Luc that I know I can do well in this new job but I dont get much support from elsewhere:o

So if i do want to push my career forward I will be living in a house resembling Steptoes and Sons.

OH is great, he really is but I have always been the housekeeper and organiser, he works 8-5 too.

Maybe you should have a family get together to discuss the possible change and explain you'll need more help? If you don't ask you definitley won't get...

And is a little more personal satisfaction worth a slightly less tidy house?
