Haven't baked for a little while. Did a key lime pie for a friend's BBQ at easter, made a banana cardamom cake that was lush but haven't really baked for a while and now the oven is playing up...

I'm just finishing off a lemon drizzle, might make a choclate one (nice tried & tested recipe from Prima magazine from yonks ago) but I fancy a blackberry & apple cake but have run out of foraged blackberries

All this talk of cakes is making me hungry, must go & make myself a kunchtime snack :D

I'm not sure I've ever made an actual cake. :o

I make 'strawberry cake' sometimes - pastry base, creme patissiere, strawberries on the top - which goes down well with the kids, but baking is something that has passed me by, despite my Gran's best efforts when I was a kid.

Mr Sunday just rang and invited me for a coffee this afternoon! :D I've got the kids so I couldn't go, but it made me feel like this :( to say no....which took me by surprise a bit. I didn't even want to go and meet him last weekend, but he seems to be winning me over alarmingly rapidly!

could you not make a payment on your credit card today so that at least you've paid something before the due date, then on Monday pay the rest to make up the minimum amount?

That's what I've gone and done. I feel a little better for it.

Guess what I did instead of going shopping? That's right, fell asleep. :o Oh well, I'll just have to go on an empty stomach. As long as I stick to the list, I should be fine.

Right - I suppose I should go and put on clothes I can be seen in public in so when Nathan wake and is fed I can go find a present for Fathers' Day...

And I might just have to buy some cake and pear cider...
