    Congratulations on the annivesary:j
I adapted a recipre: chicken breast, sliced in half and filled with Roule/Boursan cheese and wrapped in parma ham ( bought reduced in Tesco) and then baked in the oven with salad and new potatoes....kids loved it.

Too much homework at the moment and 2 exams looming, starting to panic!!

Well it's October and I haven't managed to clear my CC's....which is one of the reasons I haven't been on here, through sheer embarrasment: think I need kicking again.
Am going to set a realistic ( I hope) target for the end of November
please start kicking people........wonder if there is anyway I could set up an email arsekicking form the PAD thread if I don't log on and PAD??????
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

mmmm, now I might be being particularly dull but I seem to have lost the PAD thread......I leave the forum for a few days and then get very confused.
Well I have been starting to PAD more fequently, I have also worked out a budget and for the last 2 weeks have stuck to it:j:j, Wednesday had a NSD ( prob due to my exam) and should have anohter on Monday ( due to another exam).
On the down side I am wondering if I can pay off the CC's by the end of November.

At the moment myself and DD's are house sharing with an old friend, probelm is although we are both paying the rent.....the bills seem to be aflling to me. Now I had worked out a budget of £170pm for bills but that is now looking at nearly £400!!!! but I don't want to get chased if they are not paid.

This was an emergancy share as had left my husband ( sorry now EX husband), and am tied into a contract till April:mad: but I don't want to leave here in April and then having to pay a backlog of bills :mad:

ooo didn't realise that I'd been away for so long. Have been having a bad few weeks and didn't think that posting all my negativity would help me, so I stayed away.

I did have a NSD with my second exam, but as it's 28th today definately not going to make my 10 days:mad: maybe for November.

Have taken a look at the online banking and have realised that I have had to pay for all the bills:mad::mad::mad:, which has seriously thrown out my budget as I now have to find an extra £250 by 6th November....looks like my housemate hasn't beem paid by his clients.

On the plus side ( my god there is a plus side??????) I have now worked out a budget and have been feeling pretty good sticking to it......apart from the fact that it's completely screwed for the next 2 weeks .......now if it was my fault I wouldn't complain.

What am I worried about???// weeeelllll if my housemate isn't paid, the rent won't get paid and the landlord can apply to evict us??? might be an idea to get my name on the housing list just in case, the contract runs out in Aprl so think I migtht hit the estate agents today.

Credit cards...... doesn't look like I will be able to pay them off by the end of november but they will definately be clear by the end of Jan:j,.

Due to the fact that my ex boss won't sign my forms for my loan protection I have had to set up an arrangement with my bank to pay £20 a month off my loan. Now this isn't too bad, will mean cutting down a little in ohter area's but can be done, and once the CC's are piad off I can start putting that towards the loan.

    Ok, enough of a rant.

hi, sorry to hear your house made hasn't paid their bills, did they not think to warn you? think a little chat may be in order. Is the rental in both your names? because if it is and they don't pay their half you will be liable for it, but then you probably already know that bit.
Strange that your boss is being asked to sign for your loan protection, is that usual?
I've got a tricky month ahead, so will be here to support you in the weeks ahead, we can bend each others ears lol.

    Hi,
seems my ex boss has to sign saying that he made me redundant.....that's not going to happen in a month of Sundays: he offered me the chance to work from home and when I moved due to divorce (which is final now:j:j) and moved 3 hrs drive away I aksed to use that option. He then said no and a 3 hr commute is acceptable as a single parent with 2 dd's:mad:
The bank also think this is acceptable:mad:

What have you got coming up then Lemontree?

  • Hi Catspaw
That boss is not going to be winning any 'boss of the year' prizes for his caring attitude is he!!
It's a shame you couldn't work from home at the new place. Splitting up can be really tough and it sounds like it also cost you your job... virtual hugs coming your way.
When will your housemate know if he's going to get paid?

pretty bad attitude of your boss but why do i feel like saying i'm not surprised (sorry just on a downer with employers at the moment).
Next month i have to survive this months excesses, i've set myself the challenge of not spending anything on crafting stuff this month except one crop fee of £3.50 which isn't bad for a day out. I don't have any reason to buy more and need to use what i've got, some of which will be making some chrissy pressies so i need to get a wriggle on with them.

Looks like my housemate is going to be paid the end of next week, not sure if that will help or not.

Hav started a spending diary for this month, I know that I don't have much money left over but am sure that I could manage to save a little more somewhere. Am sure that I am spending little amounts somewhere that I don't really need to.

I think I can do a weeks shopping for 3 of us ( and cat) for £20-£30....hopefully, but need to plan properly. I think I have budgeted enough for christmas but realised that I have nothinbg really set aside for car repairs /tax or emerganices. I know that this will chnage when I get rid of the CC's but it is frustrating:mad:

What's worse is that my car has started to play up.......if it rains she won't start, so need to do something about that.....really need a new one but haven't got the money anywhere...and would never ever have a car on credit ( a motorbike maybe). Don't even have my bike either as ex kept that as part for the divorce as it was in his garage...various other thing but he kept it.

Maybe I shiould try for 20 NSD? mmmmmm I wish.

hi, a spending diary is a real boon as it's does make you stop and thing, and there's many things that you don't realise you spend on.
I need to see about my car as well, been recommended a cam belt change just need to find someone who will do it without killing the car and charging me a fortune. Not sure that's possible!

oooo, get your cam belt changed....if you don't and it snaps ( god forbid) and the pistons are in the up position you will need a whole new engine:eek:

Did try the car this morning, she turned over and then died, I have a nasty suspicious feeling that the starting motor has gone. Will try another jump start later, WD40 the engine and failing that call the AA:mad:

    Spending diary started
£2 DD1's lunch (the free meals in school only give her enough for £1.20 worth of food)- lunch money is always budgeted for.

Need to ring my business backing blokes as they still haven't paid me for my placement and it has been nearly 3 months.
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
