Hope yoou both had a good christmas:j
Go for it Lemontree, start naggiung them for the details (till they give in and give then to you)Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
got the details but also unfortunately got the full low down on the place we currently own.
If the outside matched the inside it's worth 20k more than it's currently worth as the other idiots in this block won't do the necessary repairs.
Had a lovely christmas hope you enjoyed yours.0 -
LT: what happened to your porch roof? saw it on one of the other threads.
CBM: looks like your christmas was a good one.
Was chatting with my blokey, we have sttarted takling about moving in when he has sorted his debts off...sounds like he doesn't have much but might start mentioning this site:D, he's been doing well on his own by the sounds of it.
Have realised that clearing the CC's is within my grasp and by end of jan. The WF one is bugging me, somehow I need to find the £200 a month to stop the interest.....well £195 a month but need to start over paying.....somehow.
The Barclays loan I can't overpay: BUT, if I pay off the others I might be able to make a lump sum and clear it early:p
Christmas was good, kids loved the pressies , which was good, and my sister was down which was nice.....got some cooker books which look interesting but certainly not on a budget!
Hope everyone had a good christmas :beer:Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

the porch has been on the verge of falling down for a while, and during the summer i got 3 of the 4 flat owners to agree to replace it. One didn't consider it pressing or important enough but yesterday there was an almighty bang and the plasterboard inside has fallen in due to it being so waterlogged. the outside timber is also about to go. idiot who wouldn't do it earlier deigned to visit yesterday when his tenant told him what happened and fingers crossed he's going to sort it asap as all my quotes won't be valid now. Strangely enough after barny with other upstairs flat owner about gutting and roof etc we were told the porch would be done over christmas but i get the impression that was to try and get me off their case.
on a better note just sold OH's scooter. I'm so pleased it's now gone, he's taken so long to actually do something about it and it did take me almost doing it for him but at least it's now gone and the money can go back in the baby fund.
catspaw, i'm like you, i'm having to save so i can pay off my loans in lump sums. the first one should be gone in April which is more than 12 months early, then i'm onto loan 2.0 -
LT start nagging, once that has collapsed is it attached to anything else that can come down?
And then I went and blew some money:mad:, mind you itt was needed. School shoes for DD1, a base layer for running for me ( am trying to run in a jumper which doesn't work...have been putting it off for a while),, and house cleaning things along with all the bathrooom stuff which I seem to have run out of DOH.,
But then I WIll have some more NSD as will be doing lots of running with friends the next few days.....and DD's will be out round their friends ( and I have their friends running riot at the moment)Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

oh i've been pestering for about 2 years to get this sorted and it's got me nowhere except it's been getting me down, so now i vainly try and rise above it. Doesn't often work though i still end up fuming about it a couple of times a week.0

LT that sounds awful. Good luck with getting it fixed.
Catspaw, you're really close with the CC. Just think about that interest you won't need to pay any more!
Sorry I posted my update on your diary on boxing day - its because our diaries are so similarly titled (and nothing to do with the wine I'd drunk at lunch time!)
Hope the running goes well. Its raining hard here - I can't see me putting my nose out let alone running in it!
Cheers

hehehe I have nearly posted on yours a few times!
Running was fun....wet...but fun...and slidey had forgotten about the ice....think I have a huge bruise comming up somewhere it shouldn't:D
but the base layer worked fine.
The vanquis one will go first. I had my staement and they have slapped £25 interest onto it:mad:, all because my payment didn't make it because of christmas:mad::mad: mind you I should have tried to pay it a few days early/or more off it.
It will NO make that THEY will be clear by end of Jan.
LT: 2 years is a long long time, is it your landlords rsponsibility or all the tenents/owners?Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
unfortunately it's shared responsiblity between the 4 flat owners, 3 of us agreed back in April/May, but one twonkie wonkie idiot decided it wasn't serious enough. He did say on Sunday that he would put a tarp over it but it's not there yet and it's been raining really hard for about 6-7hours so we can probably now have free showers out there.0
