I did try contact lenses a while back, I could get them in but couldn't get them out :rotfl:also felt really weird wandering around without glasses on, I kept going to adjust them & they weren't there :rotfl:

When I first went to try my lenses, they made sure you can put them in and take them out, otherwise you weren't allowed to have them. I got them in fine, but it took me half an hour (!!!) to take them out at the opticians and if I remember correctly, the first 6 months I had the same problem. Sometimes I ended up crying cos it was so frustrating not getting them out and your eyes just getting red and sore... :o:rotfl:

Make sure you contact them and make a complaint, the call would have been recorded and they can then deal with the member of staff.

well when i was onto elephant they matched the quote from admiral and apologised profusely.

i also filled in the wee survey thing to elephant stating "more friendly than the argueement i had with gaving @ admiral" lol.

no point in really taking it further i dont think (is there?) - although the guy did phone from admiral "through go-compare.com" (despite the fact i called admiral independently the night before about the quote), it felt like high pressure selling, and he wouldnt accept he was wrong "im looking at your policy now" - sorry bucko, so am i and you are wrong.

it was mainly around how long i had been driving (6yrs or 7?) and when i was onto elephant i explained and discussed and the guy said "yeah during this new insurance you definitely been 7 years driving...

i started jul 2003, my new insurance will be july-09 to jul-10, so that is in year 7, i am right aye? im in my 7th yr driving...

My monthly lenses with Specsavers only used to be £13 a month, and that is incuding the solutions.

I won a years supply of daily contacts last year, and I have hated them to be honest. I've found it more hassle opening up the individual packets every day, and they have also been more difficult to handle. They tear easily, and once they fold up on themselves, they are almost impossible to un-fold!

I've thrown numerous ones away. They are often inside out in the packets, which means I have to spend time taking them back out of my eye, and putting them in again. This is turn makes my eyes start watering, then I have to wait for them to settle so I can put my mascara on!

I'm definately going back to my monthly lenses once I have used these dailies up.

But that's just my personal opinion on them :rotfl:

Oh I love my dailies, my eyes have too much protein on them and no matter how many times I cleaned my monthlies, I kept getting infections  so had to change to dailies and don't get infections anymore, but all of a sudden getting dry eyes and keep losing the blighters up inside my eyelids

jeez, I am glad I had my eyes lasered now.!

I went for the consultation, booked in to have it done, then completely had a melt down panic attack the week before I was due to have it done and cancelled:o

I'd love to have my eyes lasered, but I'm too scared to, just incase something goes wrong and I end up losing my sight

I have mixed feelings about having my eyes lasered. I have 'dry' eyes which have been made worse by laser treatment, but it meant i couldn't wear lenses.

I had a psychological issue suddenly not wearing my glasses having worn them since I was five, but I am getting better.

I now need them for reading but I its good to be able to swim, run and sunbathe without my glasses on, plus it was costing me a fortune in glasses.

We had a "put them in, take them out session" but I just couldn't get them out, so they took them out & let me put them back in, I went off for a wander round the shops & tried again when I got back but still no joy - so that's when I decided they weren't for me.
That was a while ago, could try again I suppose to see if I can do it now

i can't decide if that would be because you are forgetful and lose them, or because you are a poser???
