    Morning All

Really not myself today, so I've not read the thread yet, hugs to those who need them and have a good day everyone.

I think that I'm going to kill someone, its been 3 weeks since I've had a lie in and my neighbours are driving me round the bend. My lovely neighbours who our always so considerate of the fact we have paperthin walls have gone to Australia on holiday and left there 18 year old to mind the house. Hes quite good but his mates are a nightmare. They all went out last night and arrived back at 2am with alot of banging and crashing (I thought somebody was kicking in our front door!!) Then at 6.45am they decided that they would put some music on, this was load enough to wake us all including the baby  . Sleep deprivation turns me into a mad women and I went storming round barged through the front door and into the house and shouted my head off. They looked alittle shocked to say the least at a anger women in her pjs stood there but they did turn it down abit. Through all this the 18yr old was fast asleep on the couch so no doubt his mates will be telling him later that his neighbours bonkers  .

Anyway it means that I have got loads done and I'm just debating what to bake for treats this week. Queenies everyday biscuits are looking like a hot favourite at the moment plus some banana muffins. Wanted to do abit more gardening today but its clouded over here and its threating raining so we will have to see.

Anyway have a good day everyone

    Good morning everyone,

Queenie, yes, DD had a lovely time yesterday, although one of her friends had to leave early as she felt poorly. Unfortunatly it was the friend who is emigrating to Australia on Monday, so last night we had tears when she realised she wouldnt see her again :( , i explained we had her email address, and MSN, so it wouldnt be too bad, and then i let her sleep in my bed, so she was a bit happier then!!! Also had a lovely morning, DS had a football match, and scored 2 goals!!! We had to leave before the match had finished (his coach had asked if he could play as much as he could) and he had a clap from his team mates cos he had been playing so well, hense one happy boy and one very proud mum!!!!
Hope you enjoy your gardening today, and especially all those pamper products later (something i keep meaning to do, make myself a pamper basket!!!, maybe my task for this coming week!!!)

Pooky - hope the shoulder feels better soon, and now Queenie has mentioned it, im now having thoughts of Mel Gibson too!!!!!

Nutty - hope you are feeling ok now, after such a horrible wake up call!!! I was woken up by someone ringing my number at 1am and putting it down as i answered it, was really angry at the time (had to hurtle down the stairs to answer it) but after hearing about your mouse, i think i would rather the phone!!!!

To everyone ive missed out hope you all have a lovely Sunday x

Well, another busy one for us today, but should be another good one. Im taking DS to see Plymouth play football this afternoon, DD is going to our friends house and once the footie has finished we are going back there for dinner, and she is doing a lovely roast for us!!! Will be nice to spend some quality time with DS, i dont get to spend much time with just him, so its nice when i can :D

Well, better go and do something (like get showered and dressed!!!) before we all go out, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all.

Woke up this morning at 6:30am and decided to take laptop into bed with me, deleted 5+ pages out of my hotmail account (leaving me with about 58 pages :-o ..). E-mailed a couple of people I have been meaning to for ages.

Son woke up next to me at 7:30am (19 month old) so took him downstairs so I could heat his milk up, managed to take out washing I had did last night and hang all that up whilst he drank his milk.

Back on the laptop looking at Ebay until now. Heading off to my parents to get my breakfast as my mum always makes me something nice. Husband is in the other bedroom sleeping (think we must have taken up too much of the bed so at some point has got up and moved to the other room).

Then going to supermarket with my sister and son to do our monthly shop. Will leave son at my parents for 2 1/2 hours so I can catch up on housework and take a few photos to put on for my Ebay listing I will put on Thursday.

Then make some spagetti bolognaise to put in freezer for a meal during the week so save thinking about what to eat one lnight at least.

Hopefully package up a couple of Ebay items I have sold, then go to parents collect son and have my dinner there (as hubbie will be working from 3pm until 10pm tonight).

That's all I have planned for today - oh and make some fairy cakes if I have time.

    Morning Everyone

Hugs to all who need them

Elona - hope you dad is okay

Pooky - we had terrible service at the Braehead Pizza hut last year (we waited over 30 mins for our starter then they didnt bring DSS pizza with the rest and we where still waiting for it after we had finished ours) - I asked for the manager and complained to him by asking for the HO address - he fell over himself by saying he wanted a chance to make things right - he gave us extra drinks (I was drinking wine and OH Stella) asked if we wanted desserts - we got our meal for free - £46 ;) and he gave us £30 of vouchers to use again...then he asked if I still wanted to complain.

Nutty - sorry to hear about the mouse - one of my cats is like Pooky's - I had a small mouse in the house about 10yrs ago and Smokey (she of my avatar) - was up on the worktop before me !! - it took my dad and a large shovel to get rid of the mouse. I have 3 kitties and I am allergic to one of them - when I clap her I have to wash my hands straight away

Snowy - good luck with the interview on Tuesday

Essex-girl - enjoy the RAH - wear what you feel comfortable in

PP - know what you mean about logging you out after 15mins - it is a pain in the a$$

    Queenie - enjoy your gardening

Well the weather here is a little overcast today - I am glad I got all of the washing done yesterday. OH is at workd today - so I am going to have a nice relaxing day today - read the papers - might watch the footie - will phone my dad later to see if he wants to come down.

We are supposed to be going over to our best mates house tonight for dinner and drinks but not sure if we are going as his dad has been taken back into hospital - they are doing tests and are not sure if the cancer has returned - will find out later if we are going out or not.

B/l - toasted roll with cheese and ham
D - not sure - fajitas if we are going out - takeaway maybe if we stay in

    Have a lovely day all
    Take care

I did watch it, but must admit i found it a bit boring so started on MSE, and then missed if DH was mentioned in the credits. OOPS.

Apparently he spent 3 hours yesterday putting a special filter over the window so they could film without any glare.

Well he'll be away doing the same show for the next two weeks, but i don't think i will bother watching it again.

    Hello all OS

I'm more of a watcher, than a poster, but I have enjoyed reading this thread so thought I would contribute :)

Joannasmum - poor you :( I have a similar problem with my downstairs neighbour who's burglar alarm goes off at least once a week. It is driving me crazy, everytime I phone her to tell her (she doesn't live there) she goes on for ages about how I must have made a bump or something to set it off! Quite often it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I think I'll start making a record of when it goes off and I'm sure I can complain to someone...

My goal today is to write a v. overdue Uni essay, it was due to hand in to my peer for marking on Wednesday and is due in to the lecturer this week. My peer wants it by tomorrow to mark and I haven't started, 3000 needed :(

I'm v. impressed by how much all the OS's acheive in a day, makes me feel rubbish for spending a day at home....but not getting anywhere. Maybe I'm spending too much time on here? ;)

So, I thought if I posted my goals here it would help:

    1. Only spend 2 hours on MSE (1 hour already...)
    2. WRITE ASSIGNMENT!!! But take regular breaks coz of RSI :(
    3. Washing for week - iron straight out of washing machine as easier (top OS tip)
    4. Wash up in kitchen
    5. Pop round to friend's house to collect info. on company for job interview on 10th
    6. Visit mum for tea @ 1830, but leave by 2000 to get home and tidy bedroom
    7. No spend day, work out food for week for 'store cupboard challenge' and sort through toiletries to continue 'bathroom cupboard challenge'.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning!

I feel quite bright this morning after managing 10 hours sleep. Kittens are both calm and peaceful. Antibiotics were fun again this morning. Roll on Thursday. :rotfl:

    nuttyrockeress
    - hope the mouse was a one off. As a kid, we got mice in the house, and i woke up to see one running across the floor at 2 in the morning. I then woke the rest of the house up by screaming, and 5 of us ended up in the one bed till morning. No-one believed me at the time, until they found lots of droppings, and most of my cuddly toy collection had been chewed through. One of the reasons we got our boy kittens is that we had a really bad rat and mouse problem in the garden, and we wanted to discourage them from getting too near the house. Fingers crossed, problem solved for now. My nextdoor neighbour tempts the boys to her house too so she can solve the problem without the expense and hassle of the pets. ;) Perhaps you could try that if you have a friendly local cat.

pooky - hope you aren't coming down with something being asleep all that time. It probably did you good anyway.

BRZL - perhaps i am you??? same age, similar amount of savings. I didn't take offence at what you said yesterday. I have a good family network 15 mins away if i go stir crazy. our area is a surestart one, and the local centre is less than 5 minutes walk up the road. Plus, one of my good friends is having a baby in September, and we will both be off work for the whole school year together, so i should find it ok i think. I think my problem this weekend is i wanted to go shopping, and i could have popped to visit my family, if i wasn't tied to the house because the cat can't do anything for himself. Normally they are content being in the kitchen, but as he can't get in the litter tray or in/out of his bed by himself, i can't be cruel and leave him. Plus, when i work every evening, weekends are mine and DH's quality time together, and i have got down because it won't happen 3 weeks on the trot.

well today - it looks like rain again, so i won't get through all my washing like planned. i will do my school prep work. (i probably should log off MSE and go get dressed first). After all, i don't want to spoil tomorrow with DH by wasting time today.

Hope people manage to get in gardens, go out and get on with their plans. Hopefully the poor weather will hold off.

    Michelle
    xx
  • Morning again

Well second load of washing is on, no chance of getting it dried outside though, it's raining

Kitchen has just been given a thorough clean - so it's gleaming :A for now.....

The general consensous (sp?) is that bacon sarnies are on the menu for lunch - yum!

I'm going to dye my hair today - so I'll leave the cleaning of the bathroom till after. Well best tell DH to get dressed so we can pop out and then back to it - my aim is to have a spotless house today so I don't have to do ANY cleaning (apart from washing up) tomorrow - wish me luck!!!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
