Morning all :hello:
DH is asleep in bed, and DD is on the xbox downstairs - hmm I can see a pattern emerging here :rotfl:
Brekkie is done, lunch will be ? and dinner will be steak diane
Am going to homebase today to get some paint and brushes for my garden furniture - it's that time of the year again  Then I'll plant my freesia bulbs - so I hope the whether holds
Washed bedding yesterday and dried it on the w.line - I can still smell them (fresh smell that is) this morning - lovely
Have a good day everyone - byee :wave:Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
morning all!
Woke up really hayfevery today - suffer every year and have already been taking tablets for three weeks, but today eyes really heavy
Bedding is in the machine and OH has gone off for the day to a football tournament with his son.
If I'm feeling energetic, I'll do a bit of weeding later, if I'm feeling intelligent (probably not! ) I'll do a bit of my OU reading, and if I'm feeling chilled I'll probably spend most of the day online on MSE!!!!!!
might make some bread this afternoon to go with the dinner. Love making bread, but get in such a mess, always flour everywhere! I keep meaning to dust off my breadmaker,(and put a plug back on it!) but I never had much luck in the past with it, and i don't have the instructions which say what to put in - is seemed all the ingredients had to go in different corners of the machine??
Mr T delivering shopping this afternoon, cupboards are a bit bare at the moment.
smoothie for breakfast, soup or leftover curry for lunch and shepherd's pie for dinner.
EDIT: just found the instructions online for my breadmaker, so might get technical and put a plug back on it and have a go at a loaf in it."Stay Wonky":D

nuttyrockess - I'd have left the house   . I'm absolutely paranoid about mice getting inside. I certainly couldn't sleep!!! I'm okay with them being in the garden - just as long as they know their place and don't try to get inside. Really the only time I can accept them is when they are wearing dresses a la Beatrix Potter or Brambley Hedge :rotfl:
Queenie - what are Pecksniff's products? I've never come across them before. Anyway, good for you for 'allowing' yourself some pampering bits!
So far it's a beautiful day here as well, BUT they promise us rain for later. Hopefully I'll at least get the washing dry.
This year I have made an executive decision and decided to get a gardener to keep it all looking good so, for once, I shall be able to enjoy sitting out there without feeling guilty. I really can't do it any more and OH has a back problem. Last week (when he severely weakened by a serious bout of man 'flu) he agreed to my decision  . I know it's not OS or money saving at all (sorry).
Washin'e just finished so will go and hang it out.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Looks like its the Apex Hotel, the view is of the back of Edinburgh Castle rather than the front from Princes Street0

Good morning all
Thought I'd post here for a change as I have been reading everyone else's posts for ages and I'm always on early
I'm enjoying my last day off, and I'm on my own today. I sent OH off to his friend for a couple of days as this place is getting on his nerves (we manage a sheltered housing scheme and live on premises so you can be sure we never actually get time off!)
Essex-girl, I can sympathise with you and your mouse! I woke up one day in my mum's house hearing this strange scritch scritch sound...took me all night to work out that there was a mouse behind the filing cabinet eating a horse biscuit! Didn't get much sleep that night anyway. But, this will be encouraging for you, we only found one!
Anyway, I have a dog bugging me so my day looks like this:::
ring himself, say good morning
do the washing up
put a wash on
tidy the spare room
take the dog for a walk
have a good day everyone!DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

Thank you Queenie - thats more or less what I decided but you know what its like somtimes when you need someone else to confirm it for you - needless to say OH wasnt much use!:rotfl:
Well Im much happier now thats decided... just gonna iron 2 more things then jump in the shower, looks like the weather is def holding today.
My cat is really good at catching mice - the only ones I ever see are dead ones which are a pressie on the back door step for me, however when it comes to spiders (my worst nightmare) she sits there playing with them making then run....it really makes me shudder just thinkging about it. However Nuttyrockeress I guess with your allergy it wouldnt be worth it, especially if you get one like Pookys - plus sometimes they do like bring live mice in to play with!
Anyway am now trying to put the thought of spiders out of my head and get on .......have a good one0 -

Morning all,
Poor you Nuttyrockess, I'd have been petrified to sleep again. Hope there will be no more.
Queenie, enjoy your pampering bath.
I have to clean the house this morning, pretty much everything needs doing. I will enlist some help from OH when he gets back from washing his car. A load of washing is on so I may risk hanging it outside.
I want to do a freezer inventory so I can plan meals around what's in there, otherwise I end up buying duplicates and wasting stuff. Which is not very OS!
I have OH's parents and aunt and uncle coming over for dinner later, have bought chicken breasts but haven't decided exactly what to do with them. Probably something citrussy as I bought oranges and lemons. I am also planning on making a low-fat cherry cheesecake from my slimming recipe book. Fingers crossed it goes ok!
Have a lovely day all,
