Tesco - Parent/Child + disabled car spaces
Comments

Yes, the P&C spaces at my local Tesco are closer to the door than the disabled ones are, and they are directly in front of the cash machines. This is obviously not a good place to put them as if nipping to the machines the temptation is to use them.0
-
My Tescos must be unusual. Four P&C spaces are near the doors, about the same distance away as the Disabled spaces. But the rest of the P&C spaces are at some distance, at the other end of the building - there are certainly many normal spaces much closer. They only benefit these other P&C spaces have (other than width) is that they are adjacent to the edge of the store, so they have a covered walkway and trolleys nearby.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

The company let her off. Very bloody generous. The company had no right to charge her and backed down before they were rumbled by a supine press.
Let her off indeed."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

I think you are missing the point.
The supermarkets are under no obligation to offer these spaces, they do it because they think there will be some kind of economic reward from it. Supermarkets are all about making money, so if they think a P&C space will improve their profits then they will put them in.
If you have a problem with P&C spaces then you should be contacting the supermarkets about it. Tesco et al put these spaces there to attract customers, Tesco want them to be used by parents with children. If too many people abuse them, as seems to be the case, then the supermarkets will have to bring in some enforcement, which will cost money, which makes the cost of your weekly shop go up.
If you object to P&C spaces then use a shop that does not have them.
You think - oh the irony.
This is a thread to discuss the issue of P&C spaces. If you do not like people discussing it then do one. Your advice of contacting the supermarket could be easily applied to the OP. This is a discussion forum. What part of that do you find hard to grasp ?"There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

It did't hurt me.

My local Tesco is Redditch and the P&C spaces are further away than the disabled. My local Asda is Bromsgrove and the same applies there also.0
