lost buyer after 5 months!

Being you revived the thread....
Latest info is that the supposed cash buyer did buy my survey and make a non-refundable deposit.
Then this week (a whole 3 months after she was meant to be ready to exchange) the woman at the top of the chain who had all these probate problems to solve has not been able to solve her affairs satisfactorily and has decided to take her house off the market!
My sellers most be spitting feathers. 2 weeks ago they gain an extra 35k by accepting a higher offer than ours, then they take out indemnity policies on her house and extend their mortgage offer incurring more costs on top of solicitors fees, structural survey, drains survey etc one year after they first started looking at this house they find she is not moving.

I did almost feel sorry for them.......
and then I laughed.
The one that I don't mind getting hurt is the EA who told me ON THE DAY WE WERE GAZUMPED that the property was way over his agents usual price bracket and it was such amazing kudos for him that he had 3 people bidding for a house at nearly 900k. That that day really was a pinnacle of his career....I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Aahh Silvercar,
Some people will never learn and you did the right thing for you.
You're well out of that one.
