I am at home most days with my ds (on days out I pack a lunch), and so usually go for a pack of 8p noodles.
Trouble is they tend to get a bit boring after a while, I've tried putting a handful of mushrooms in with the chicken ones, and some chilli and kidnet beans in with the beef ones :WHAT ELSE CAN I DO WITH THEM ???

My sons like these with a tin of Campbells meatballs in tomato sauce. I also do them with peas, sweetcorn and chopped tinned sausages. Or added to stirfry veg.Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0

Bin them?
Sorry - but I think they are disgusting and whilst I haven't got a packet to hand to look at the ingredients, I fear they will contain all sorts of nasties. I'd be much happier with a sandwich or some HM soup.0 -
i have to agree TBH (i havent bought / tasted them but)there cant be that much "goodness" in them ????0

Must admit, i dont eat them either, but my children love pasta, and i add peas, sweetcorn and maybe some chicken or bacon (or both), add a dash of cream and butter and its lovely. Can also add egg instead of the cream, thats nice also and cheese, but my two dont like cheese unless its motzerella so i only put that. Might work with the noodles????0

My kids leave out the flavour sachet and add black pepper and grated cheese. Or even just black pepper and butter!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

Crack 2 eggs into the saucepan when they water is almost absorbed, Stir until scrambled.
Serve with a multivitamin on the side, lest you die of scurvy.0 -
I buy mine from the local chinese grocers, they do a really good chilli flavour one. Not quite as cheap as 8p but still good value.
I fry off a sliced onion and whatever veg I have going spare, cook the noodles and then make up the soup with fresh boiling water before adding the noodles and veg. You get a nice soupy noodly broth which is really hot and filling.
I'm veggie but I imagine bits of shredded meat would go very well.0 -

when i was at uni i found that if you boiled the noodles first then drained them then mixed the flavouring in at the end that they tated a lot better than cooking them with the powder in at the beginning, also used to add cheap ham and spring onions..Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
