Well i didnt think i would do anymore debt stuff today but i have £5 more to add to the saving pot. So to summarise my day:-
Total paid off debt £99.72, total put into savings £14.25. Total for the day £113.97
At the moment i currently have 4 saving pots...one is for 10p and upwards, one is for 5p, a tin for coppers and then i am using my bank saving a/c as another one.
Felt a bit down earlier and had to take a deep breath. I know i managed to get us into this mess, and i just cant wait for the day where i can spend this money on better things. Realised today that our joint bank a/c o/d is up for review in August so have now switched that to the forefront of my mind. I would like to be able to offer them £2000 in august and get the o/d reduced.....if not more but im aiming for £2000 at least. We fell into our overdraft just over a year ago when we struggled financially. Nowadays we live within our monthly budget but obviously our money goes on other debts. Am going to try and get out of the O/d as quick as possible. I know come july time we are due money back from tax people so im going to whack that into the "pay off o/d fund".
I must keep looking on the brightside and remember how much i have already contributed to debts in the last 4 day.

just a quick update today...keep me in line and focused.
Been out for food today for fathers day meal so not going to be a big day for paying debts im afraid. But i have just paid another £10 to virgin. Better than nothing i suppose. Would pay more off things but am having a cosy night on the sofa with a film tonight so only on comp quickly. (didnt not want to make a payment of some sort though!) Am determined to pay something towards these debts eveyday.
So tonight is dvd and wine night.....wine was a free gift from my dad so will taste even better :rotfl:
Not much else to report. Going to dedicate 1hr tomorrow to my debts and checking through everything.
Chat tomorrow. x0 -
Hello all. hope evertone is well.
Just learnt my lesson whilst trying to do the bingo thing i found in one of the threads....was trying to play for free but couldnt work it out. deposited £10 and it twindled down to £3.25 , starting to get a bit gutted and couldnt return any less than £10 to my bank so it wasnt looking good...then i won £11.10!! phew i straight away transferred it to my bank and logged out!! on the good side made £3.25!!! but only just!! will wait til it appears in my bank and then i will be putting it in the Saving a/c.!! lesson learnt.
Am trying to get into the challenges etc to see if i can make some more money...am waiting for some info on the daily clicks thing to see if thats worth ago.
havent yet paid any debts today but will be doing so at some point. heading out in a bit so will probably be tonight. have started my daily spend book today so i can see how much money we spend unnecessary and see if we can cut down a little more. So far OH has spent £8.98, but its fathers day so will let him off :rotfl:
will do some more updating later, and highlight my plans for the week ahead in terms of debt payment. x0 -
evening.
im sat here with a large glass of wine....same bottle as i opened last night
had a lovely day today. monday tomorrow...the weekend flies by! For some reason i like the week though....i feel i bite bigger chunks off our debt during the week. Weekends im trying my hardest not to spend spend spend.
Fell ever so good for chopping the credit cards up...its actually a big relief just doing that. feels like half the battle is done...at least i cant add more debt to what we have. By the end of this month we will be under the £40k mark...awesome!! Like i have said in previous posts...i know its an awful lot of debt...but at the moment it is a manageable debt, we have never missed payments..nor do i intend to start...just want it gone asap now.by the end of the year it will be under £30k....how much depends on us but im on a mission remember!!
So today has been another slow day really....have only made a £9.21 payment to virgin.....wanted to pay more but needed to get a fathers day gift so have budgeted that into todays money.
Tomorrow am hoping to pay us some more wages so that i have a better idea of what we have for the month once ive allowed for bills.
Not much else to report...if anyone has any fab ideas regarding money making etc please let me know. Ebay and greenmet payments should be in by the end of this week aswell so im going to send them to virgin too.

Got to post a couple of things i have sold on ebay, not transferred money to bank yet so will wait until i do before i report on where the money is going.
Signed up to a couple of cashback websites to get my head around this click business....just going to aim to get £25 on we promise you to see how i go....have got £12.52 so far!! Also waiting for the greenmet payment to clear. Every little helps.
anyway i feel like im waffling so i will be back later with a more constructive debt free post!!

Hi, I'm very impressed with how much you have paid off so far, it must be a great feeling, I only manage to pay a £1 or so a day extra (am doing the Payment a Day challenge).
Is Greenmet easy? I have a few books which I have on Ebay but they are not selling so need to find somewhere else to list them.
Well, done on winning on the Bingo, I've NEVER won anything on the bingo, mind you I only do the 1p plays when they have them and don't buy too many cards but I get disheartened when I don't even win £5. I do the free scratchcards there though so I wait until I get £10 worth and transfer it back.
How old is you child? (sorry not sure if it's a boy or a girl). I have 3 daughters aged 5, nearly 4 and 13 months.
Will keep checking back to see how you are getting on. I've just started a Diary too as I needed more motivation and I'm more determined than ever to pay off as much as I can.
Have a good day.

Hi TMD.
i have a little girl who is 15months. best thing in the world.
greenmet is really easy to list on, i listed 41 books last wednesday and sold 2 by thursday but nothing since. You get £3 per book. I found books didnt really sell that well on ebay.
i only signed up to the bingo to get the cashback...its a bit of a con really as i was playing along and won £100....only to find the put it into your bonus account not your cash account. then from what i have grasped you then have to play so much of it before its turned to cash. luckily it turned to cash and i withdrew £20....wont be adding anymore funds to it...i'll end up in more debt!!
Have done well to pay off what i have so far.....the next week maybe a bit slower in terms of extra payments as dd's go out on the loans we have so need to watch the pennies. but im in the middle of my little plan now so fingers crossed i will work out a way to keep paying!
thanks for checking in on my diary...it def helps to know people are reading it. I will go look ur diray up now.

Doing well - the spends book might be an eye opener? I have put some books on GreenMet as well now but no takers yet.0

evening diary & readers.
Well today has flown by and i am absoultely knackered!! cant wait to get to bed.....saying that think its my own fault for staying up on comp til 12 last night!!
So today i have managed to make my payments as promised to myself!! Its another £20 to virgin and £10 into saving for o/d fund! These two are my little projects at the moment! So far in the o/d fund we have £25.00....not much but im putting more emphasis on the virgin card at the moment. Since 16/6 (7days) i have paid £119.65 to virgin...this is not including the minimum payment i made 3 days before...total amount to virgin this month £179.27!! But hey ho if it means i will be that little bit less in debt so be it!!
Have managed not to spend too much either today...just a quick visit to the supermarket to get milk and squash. So a good day!!
