Be fair, it's very unwise to post an auction number here if you're the winner. That's a great way to pick up stalkers.
If OP doesn't want to PM a regular then that's their prerogative.
The only thing that's really in doubt is any possible hidden small print on the listing. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
If it has been won in the last week or so, then the winning bidder/buyer identities are hidden.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

I was not suggesting a listing number on screen but a pm with it to Soolin would be as good a way of sorting this as anything.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yeah - i think a pm to one of the regulars would be good. I wasnt suggesting any user id's being shown as they should be hidden anyway - just a few people had asked but the question was never answered, just put to the side, so i thought id ask why - thats all. xMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0

It doesn't matter if the seller has put some small print to indicate that you are bidding on an empty box. Pay pal won't care, they'll tell you to post the item back to the seller by trackable means and once you have the tracking number, they'll refund you.0

Go crazy and hassle ebay and paypal left, right and centre. If you kick up enough of a stink, they will hopefully refund your money and then chase the seller for ther money.Wins: Avene Protective Hydrating Cream; 2 x Calvin harris Tickets @ iTunes Festival.

any updates?
What happened did you get a refund, what did the seller say?
The new ebay system is doomed to failure. Because if you leave a negative feedback it only last for a year. All the con artist have many accounts and once a year they rip people off big time by sending empty boxes. Then they do it again in a years time with the same accounts, once the neg has gone.0 -
Post factual comments please. The OP cannot take this up with Royal Mail the sender has to.

Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
If you actually look at the claim form it wants to know details of the type of packaging and the actual address of the post box or Post Office used, together with details of the original cost price of the item. I would have thought this was very difficult for the buyer?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
