Warning slight rant content below:
And a question for other mothers of fifteen year olds, or just anybody, I need all the help I can get. Do you think fifteen is the worst age, because I'm beginning to think it is....ds2 who is at that magic age has just told me that all his friends think I am a mean parent because I have ONLY paid for a school trip to Poland as his birthday present....this trip to Poland is costing £225.....and because we are so mean and did not buy him a brand new bicycle as well ( offered him either the trip or the bike, he chose the trip) he cannot get a job, has no social life and hates his whole life...and guess what it is all my fault..............................
Hi LilySue - have you talked to DS2 about money, how short it is etc. I think he's very lucky getting to go abroad. Its costing me £250 for DD to go on a school trip to London for 2 nights! Is it worthwhile looking out for a bike on freecycle? I think Dusty has given sound advice as ever. Hope your feeling better today xx0 -
No, he hasn't. He's aware it may be a pending transaction but wants to stay in just in case!
Fair enough. can't blame him.
Sorry for the delay but got caught up with another Thread. Some people on MSE can be so judgmental and to ready to believe that a poster is a troll

LOL, you sound so like my Mum, she does things like that. She also does completely mad things - I once woke up when we were on holiday to find her perched on the window sil of my bedroom leaning out the window as far as she could to take a picture of a tree in the field over the road as she thought it looked nice in the early morning mist. She didn't seem concerned that she might fall out of the window and die! I looked at her and said: "If you ever get senile dementia we aren't going to be able to tell the difference" and went back to sleepCraftyscholar wrote: »Good question.
Lovely morning - I was in the back garden at 6.30 in my dressing-gown filling the bird feeder.
Not OCD at all, very sensible. I've done that before when I couldn't go away from the computer without forgetting what was on the listsDoes anyone ever print off the lists and like a to do list to take round the house or am I being too OCD?:rotfl:
I had a really bad night full of really vivid dreams and heartburn. DH has gone out this morning and I feel like going back to bed for some proper sleep. Some of my dreams were quite good - I dreamed that Rav Wilding (the gorgeous Crimewatch presenter) fell in love with me. And I found out who murdered a young boy (his grandfather killed him because his chair squeaked) and I found the missing black box from the Air France flight that crashed (it was off the coast of Cornwall, and I remember feeling very surprised that the authorities hadn't thought of looking there).
I'm in a rather wooohoooo state of mind today, who needs to drink or take drugs...

Hello ladies....
I must confess my sins to appease my laundry pile..
over the last few months i have fallen on wayside..
and the flying has been grounded due to bad maintenance....
But I am now back with a vengance and my mission is clear...
No longer will the laundry collect on the floor
No longer will clutter be allowed
no longer shall cobwebs collect dust..
as for my enemy of mess and clutter.
I will fight it in the kitchen
I will fight it in the bedroom
I will fight it in the Bathroom
I will defeat it in the House
I will conquer this enemy that seeps into every pore
I will destroy this enemy that cover all surfaces
I will regin supreme in this castle this fortress this HOMETHE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -

Morning my lovelies
I feel a bit rested but am planning a quiet day and catching up with emails etc - but will need to do it in stages as I am getting a sore neck if on here too long.
carer has been and I am showered but not dressed yet - will do that next. Its a private firm at the weekend as the council dont have enough staff on - today's lady said that some help has been arranged for housework through the week - a couple of hours I think and I pay for that.
It was bright here but now its cloudy - but its dry at least for now.
back later
Hope everyone has a great day/weekend
