Yes polly honey I am sure you are worrying too much about your lovely doggy - take each day as it comes - she will be fine. Its really funny you talking about the savoury crumble - I had one in hospital and it was really nice - trouble is I cant remember what was in it - I did mean to ask the kitchens about it - they are quite good at explaining about someof their dishes. Let me know how you get on will you please?

The savoury crumble was quite nice, better than the last attempt which was from a different recipe. I think I still need to fine-tune it, more margarine I think because it was a bit too dry. I used the topping recipe from here :
    http://www.cookitsimply.com/recipe-0010-01t3912.html

and put it over savoury mince (with onions and gravy and I shoved in some peas too). It tasted quite nice but the mixture didn't all stick together so I thought I'd increase the margarine and maybe the cheese. DH ate it all though so it couldn't have been too bad.

Just trying to find some new things to cook and eat.

It's pouring with rain here now.

    Hello!

Have been doing some work with SIL today so not been around. DD2 is over at my parents so off there in a minute. Working at my regular job tonight so won't have time to log on now until tomorrow. Did a big lounge tidy on Sunday so its not too bad, will just titivate it tomorrow I think.

Well done Pigpen on your college work. Just shows you what us women can do when we set our minds to it...you've had so much going on in your life recently and you've still come out with brilliant results.:j

    See you all tomorrow. x

Decided that I had better post soon or I will get totally lost in this thread :o

I'm currently fluttering rather feebily, but we have quite a lot going on at home.....so I'm sticking to the basics each day, but I do read and am inspired by what everyone else is doing!

WOW!!! Ive never done a HHC before. I'm amazed at how much you can get done "against the clock"

    I managed to...

tidy all the baby toys into a neat pile in the living room
put away a pile of washing that i found upstairs
quick tidy of the kids rooms (they were ok as I blitzed them yesterday)
    make 3 childrens beds
hoover all 3 bedrooms and the hall upstairs
tidy all the baby toys into a neat pile in the living room
empty the tumble dryer and fold up the washing
put away clothes that didnt need ironing
tidy all the baby toys into.... grrrr I gave up with that on the 3rd attempt!!!
empty WM and put it all in the TD.
made DS2 a drink and myself a cuppa tea!!

What a great idea the HHC is!

I did a 4.15pm - about 2 minutes ago. Started sorting the dump that is the utility room as it's only annoying me being in the LR with other people doing nothing to help. Have done DS2s room with him, he tidied most I just finished off and dusted. When I mentioned to DS1 about doing his room he just started screaming as usual. I can feel myself getting more and more annoyed as I am asked to make food/drinks when I am the only one actually doing anything.....wonder how long before I boil over? Especially after the comments of 'well it's your job' today, I don't have enough hours in the day to do all the jobs I need to do if noone else does anything never mind study. Having 5 minutes now, will go finish clearing the junk I swept into a pile in the utility in a mo. Then it'll be just the floor to clean, step to wash and chairs to wipe before putting back.

**wanders off chuntering** while picking off the super glue she's just fastened her little finger to her hand with, doh!
One day I might be more organised...........

    oh you are not alone!
If i ask my oldest two (7 & nearly 9) you would think I'd asked them to skin and gut a rabbit or something. I get tears and tantrums and end up bellowing at them, when I'd asked nicely in the 1st place!

Within minutes, of course you get "can I have something to eat", "I need money for..." etc etc

I blitzed the kids rooms yesterday and when I went in there today I found a few bits lying in DS1's bed. I just put it all in a pile on the floor and called him up and asked him to put those few bits away. I have to say he did it without complaint! (I'm still getting over the shock!!) I have now decided to check the rooms everyday and they can put it away themselves each night after school. I'd rather spend 5 minutes supervising a put-away than the usual 2-3 hours it takes me to blitz their rooms, once their stuff starts crawling out into the hallway!!!

    Deep breaths lil_me , deep breaths! ;)
