Hiya, would like to agree with all who like the Jasmine in glenrothes. I think the food is fantastic. you can eat in, pick up or have a home delivery, i make up new occasions to have food from there (try a chicken madras) well worth the heat (lol). I have also lived in kirkcaldy all my life and think it has a good choice of clubs, pubs and shops. If I ever move it will have to be abroad someplace very sunny. (well worth the trouble of moving).
Sorry you dont like it here, good luck with your move home

this post is making me so so homesick - been in Aberdeen 2 years now but really miss Kirkcaldy
if its still open - the pool at Kinghorn caravan park is fab (small but has jacuzzi)and good restaurant - open to the general public
car run to Anstruther for fish and chips (price not very mse sorry) - but worth it - nice run lovely wee village and nice walks
cheap day return train ticket to edinburgh - loads to see and do especially at the fringe in august (lots of free street shows and great atmosphere)
nice walks around Dunfermline abbey and then a walk around pittencrieff park
st andrews - great for a day out - lots to see walking about - ruins, great beach etc
anything else you're looking for - feel free to pm - doesnt always seem like it - but Kirkcaldy is a really central place for loads of day trips etc - i didnt appreciate it until i was gone

Some good tips here, my dad moved to Lower Largo last year and it's a really lovely place, good to read some more tips for things to do when we go over. I'd really recommend exploring the East Neuk villages, and St Andrews is lovely - quality charity shops too!
Vital Spark, where is the organic cafe in Slateford? We're quite near Slateford but hadn't heard of it.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!
