  • Hi, All

I just thought I would update and let everyone know you can get Biotex from

    Tesco
    Asda
    Ebay
    Sainsburys
    Morrisons
    Co-op

I can also add prices for each shop if you wish :)

I bought 14 boxes in the £ shop. I think they thought I had gone mad. Just checked online at Tesco and it seems to be back. Was in two Sainsbury's over the weekend and they weren't stocking it.
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

    Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz

I hadn't realised there was a problem until I went out today to replace the one I have just finished. I tried Morrisons, Waitrose and the Co-op, even tried Boots and Superdrug..........................not one of them had any.

I have done a bit of investigation and it seems that the importers went bust which presumably explains the sudden loss of biotex from our shelves. Hopefully some other company will eventually get the message and import again.

Thanks for the information, I was trying to get some Biotex with no luck and I was going to post a question to ask if anything else works to get out bloodstains. Anyone know if just presoaking in bio washing powder would work?

I'd still like to get some Biotex if I can. Old fashioned hardware shops might still have some in stock, I'm going to look in the village on Monday

A strong COLD salt solution will wipe out bloodstains. If you wash blood in hot water, it sort of cooks, and it's much harder to remove afterwards.
    import this
  • My Biotex has just run out and will be looking for more - I noticed it wasn't
available a while ago. Glad to see it's back.

Here's my tip for using it.

Get a cheap cool box for soaking with Bio-Tex. Make sure it is a nice
single plastic moulding on the inside and therefore watertight.
Being insulated it keeps the water warm for hours and allows the enzymes
to really do their job. :T
It's amazing the stains it will take out used like that.

If you use a bucket it has cooled down within half an hour

14 boxes . I bought 1 box from Tesco with my shopping £ 1.89 for 500g. If your boxes are 500g you have def saved the pennies.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

I saw Biotex in Sainsburys this morning - it looked like a re-vamped package, but can anyone tell me if it's any better than just soaking stuff either in plain cold water (blood) or salt and water (nasty hankies) or bio washing powder or liquid (food stains etc)? I have recently stopped using bio products for anything but things with v bad stains - I think we are all a bit allergic to the bio.
Also if you soak things in bio stuff, and then wash it in non-bio, do you think that amount of bio will get us all allergic again ?
