What is this Biotex and WHY have I never heard of it before?:eek::eek:

And is the Fairy Green soap this stuff found in the aisle beside all the washing powder?

Cos i have never found a decent stain remover either:cool:

It's possibly one of the first biological powders, coming a in a small box. Been out for about 50 years I think.

My mum used to swear by ACDO. Anyone remember that?

The Age Concern shop I used to work at was selling Acdo a few months ago. I bought some and it was great, loved the smell too.
  • I saw Biotex for sale when I was doing my online shop with Tesco's this morning.

  • Hi

I am the UK Brand Manager for Biotex. It is great to see the extremely positive comments about Biotex.

    The product is listed in:
    - Tesco (179 EXTRA Stores)
    - Sainsburys (367 Stores)
    - Asda (106 Larger Stores)
    - Morrisons (380 Stores)
    - Waitrose (213 Stores)
    - Robert Dyas (100 Stores)
    - Ocado (Online)
    - Poundland, 99p Stores and Poundworld (Occasional Listings)

We took over from the previous distributor who went bust, and continue to expand the distribution of the product in the UK.

Hi, as an update on this I did a full search in the Chester/Ellesmere Port area:

Sainsbury's (listed as stocked on website)
Asda (listed as stocked on website)
    Tesco
    Tesco Extra
    Morrisons
    Various pound shops
    M&S
    Wilkinsons

And no Biotex to be found. There was about 8 different types of Vanish and a few other products!

Looks like the supermarkers are not taking it anymore at least round here.

For those interested Biotex can be found currently in the BM store in Chester. Located just out of town.

    Hi,

I always use Bio Tex to soak my net curtains. I take them down and stick them in the bath with Bio Tex overnight. Then rinse them out in the morning. A box lasts me ages, so I was very surprised to find that it was not in Wilkinson anymore.

I contacted the company found here and received this email:

    Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry, you can look at buying Bio-Tex products from the following website - : www.brandrefill.co.uk
    Kind regards,

I am not sure what the postage is, but I am going to try getting it from there.

    Regards

Decided not to buy. I clicked on the 4 pack which worked at at 1.63, however the postage was £4.99.

So if anyone sees Bio Tex in Lincoln, S!!!!horpe or Doncaster, let me know.
