Crafty scholar......you know how shop sizes vary. You just need to find one that makes a generous size 10 or a mean size 12 to accomodate your size 11 bod
Bye for now!

Well you and me both Crafty!:doh:
It feels SO much better to do a focussed swoop on the shops for a single planned purchase. Less distracting, less time-wasting, less exhausting and to an extent can be researched on the internet too before you go! Also, definitely likely to be more discerning and particular regarding getting the right fit/shade/ cut etc
I'm learning it's the time spent THINKING and PLANNING and not how much you money you spend that leads to a wardrobe of clothes that works!
lovetoshopforbargains and iceicebaby....HI!
glad you're both joining in...keep us up to date with your progress please!0 -

All winter clothes have been moved to wardrobe in spare room. All the clothes I have left in my wardrobe fit ok, 2 or 3 tops I will wear over summer and then bin. Its hard to get rid of "good clothes", but I have been ruthless.
A couple of things I need,( since I have decided to stick with my jeans, shirt/t shirt combo, which does work pretty well for me) a leather plaited belt to replace my current one, which is unravelling & cant be fixed, and a smartish summer jacket. I could do with a shower proof type (NOT anorak) jacket, or maybe a trench coat. I am also going to sort out the accessories I have and maybe start wearing some, if not I will clear them out. Any ideas re jacket gratefully received.
Hi Katie....it does feel good to move the stuff that's not currently being worn out of the way, if you've got the luxury of space, doesn't it?.
When I look in the wardrobe in the morning now, I can't imagine why I left all this unusable stuff there all that time!!
I got a trench coat from M&S in the Spring...it is a limey green colour three quarter, nice soft fabric . I decided to be bold and get a bright colour and am really glad I did as it cheers me up everytime I wear it!! It's great with jeans and I've worn it more than I thought I would. Can't remember how much exactly but less than £30 i'm sure. Think M&S have become quite competitive in basic stuff since the 'credit crunch'.0 -
I took another 55 pictures of clothes to list on ebay. Will be loading them onto turbolister during this week to upload at the weekend.
Also took 2 bags of clothes to the local charity shop (dont think I will go there again, but thats another story!)

Hiya
I will have a look at the ebay thread, thanks:D
I took 2 bags of clothes into the charity shop and was told to take them out the back. I walked up to the room and the miserable woman in there looked at me in disgust and said "oh for F's sake, I suppose I will have to sort that lot out now". She obviously hasn't been watching Mary Portas then! We have lots of choice in my home town, so I tend to share out the bags, and can avoid any who are ungrateful. The main problem is parking outside though.....traffic wardens can be a real nuisance when dropping off 3 or 4 bags!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
