I don't knock what Man U have done but they have not turned their national dominance on to the European stage like many other clubs like Real Madrid, AC Millan, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and recently Barcelona.

I think you will find that Barcelona have won the european cup the same number of times as united.

They have "underachieved" as well as man u

Actually winning the champions league is easier than winning the old european cup, if you lost in the old format you were gone. If you ask any manchester united fan what each season priority trophy was they would tell you the premiership.

Only until number 19 icon7.gif at the moment.
Actually one club won the old European cup more often than their own national league, who was that?

I have great respect for Barcelona, the Motif on their shirt says it all.

I heard the transfer is off due to a failed medical.

The Doctor tapped Ronaldo's knee and from the way he rolled around on the floor clutching his leg and complaing some kind of serious compound fracture or worse is assumed ;-)
  • Best / Maradonna - A hard one as I generally only see them in short spaces from TV clips, but I would probably go for Best. Not because he played for Man Utd, but because from what I saw on TV, he was untouchable. It's a pity he didn't play for a better international team to compare him against international opposition more.

Probably the funniest thing I've ever read

No it aint--Forest lost the first leg of a tie and won the second, its the goal aggregate with away goals counting double in a tie...... did not anyone tell you?........how is it easier with double the amount of teams in it?

In 2009 Ronaldo scores the goal in Porto that wins the quarter final, and then scores 2 against Arsenal in the semis.

In 2008 scores the opening goal in the quarter final and scores the only goal in the final.

Oh yeah, he won't be missed.
"Scores the only goal in the final........so it dint go to penalties, then i must have been dreaming. i swore Lamps scores, the Ronaldo missed his penalty that should have lost them the game.
