LONDON, June 11 - Manchester United said on Thursday they have received a world record 80 million pound ($131.2 million) bid for forward Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
"At Cristiano's request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player," a statement on the United website said.
"Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice."

Madrid make a habit of buying 'stars' that have already peaked, it will be interesting to see what happens this time.
Although a fantastic player, he is very selfish and greedy and that cost Man U the champions league - He was too busy trying to out-perform Messi then playing for United.0 -
