Broders, I see that you have become a selling club.
Do you think they should be made to pay that money off their debt?
The names that are being quoted as signing for the money look like they will make you side a much better balanced outfit for next season.0 -

In the past we have normally sold them our spent players.
I think he wanted to leave didn't he.
It is no good having a player who is not totally committed to the club no matter how good he is or thinks he is.
We will see Rooney develop into the best player in the world now.0 -

If Sir Alex plays him in the right position, this maybe true.0 -
So who did you play in those batteling super club champions ships.
Not a Man Utd fan, sorry.
I'm an Aberdeen fan, although Sir Alex did win the Super cup with Aberdeen (an extremely small club in comparison) against the European Cup holders at the time Hamburg.
Any of the managers you quote had European success with two different clubs?
Any of them managed it with a club who had an average attendance as small as 13,000?
The argument about Sir Alex taking so long to win European tropheys just goes to show that he can build succesful team after team and not be limited to having a golden era time with a golden team.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

But with the success he as had in the last 25 years they are European underachievers.
I think any football fan would tell you that many clubs have won more champions league trophies with more than one manager (which is harder as it shows instability) in the last 25 years.
I don't knock what Man U have done but they have not turned their national dominance on to the European stage like many other clubs like Real Madrid, AC Millan, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and recently Barcelona.
To say Man U have achieved more in Europe than any other UK club is simply not true.
It is like saying Dodge are better cars than Porsche because they sell more cars.
Like most things in life you have to measure the quality of the competitions and their is no European trophy hard to win or more desired than the champions league/European championship.
Perhaps if they had won last month it may have been worth debating.:)0 -

Actually winning the champions league is easier than winning the old european cup, if you lost in the old format you were gone. If you ask any manchester united fan what each season priority trophy was they would tell you the premiership.0
