these are all very impressive sales and I think you are all great for sharing the titles with us.
Without giving away any trade secrets what are the best hunting places? library sales, car boots (not round here they're not, lol) or is it second hand bookshops?
if this is too nosy, you don't have to tell
thanksStop looking for answers....

Hi ksh, we like to share our stuff around, there's plenty for everyone :j I don't think that second hand books shops will be any good because the owner will have searched them all on Amazon before pricing them up.
If boot sales are no good (what a shame!) the charity shops and local fetes are your best bets. The fetes can be good because at the end of the sale they'll take peanuts for the books just to get rid but you have to make your mind up on the spot whereas with the charity shops you can make a note of the ISBN and check it out on Amazon first and hopefully it will still the there when you go back.
If you have a look on the Amazon thread you'll see other suggestions for good sellers, not named ones like these listed here but genres that are good areas to buy in.0 -
Its the charity shops for me.
I work in a very differanr type of area to where I work so I have 8 shops avaliable to me !! And 4 of them do 5 books for £1 so I know regardless of the 5 I buy they will be ok.
I had a look around a car boot last week and couldn't find anything either.

My experience with car boots has been bad too. I tend to go to charity shops but most of them sell for quite a large sum in London. These days I tend to go in, get a bunch of ISBNs and check them out before buying. This can sometimes backfire if the book gets sold before I can go back, but I have also found my judgement to be a bit flawed and have wasted some money by buying without checking, and getting a heavy volume which is listed at £0.01!
Some good ones I have sold are
Real Estate Investment: A Capital Market Approach [Paperback] by Brown, Gerald for £25.
Discover Britain: The Illustrated Walking and Exploring Guide for £12
The Stones Cookbook: Vegetarian Recipes from Stones Restaurant for £12
Grading for the Fashion Industry: Theory and Practice for £10.30
Most of these were listed for quite a while before I finally sold them.'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0 -
