Amazon - list of books etc that sold for good prices

Options
On the selling your stuff on Amazon thread we'd started to share what our best selling items had been, not what we had currently up for sale, that would be silly if we shared that information around but I for one am happy to pass on the titles that have been good sellers for me in the hope that someone else may come across them when out and about.

With car boot sales up and running at the moment you can find many books for sale but unless they are very cheap you have to weigh up the likelyhood of the books you've found being worth more than the price asked (unless you can phone home to get someone to check on the computer for you while you wait) so you have to make your decisions without any real certainty, so I thought that if we shared our successes then we can all go armed with a list of books that have sold well for someone in recent weeks.

Please bear in mind that the prices quoted were what the books sold for at that time, they may have gone up or down since. I've shown items that sold for more than £10.00, if anyone else wants to join in please do. :T

I'm sure that won't be the case, so long as there isn't any silly pricing going on the values will hold up, so what if there are are few more copies of Ethics in Palliative Care or Kitchen in the Hills listed on Amazon, how terrible is that? I'm sure that there are enough books and buyers around for everyone one to have a share and we call all learn from each others experience.
I bet that more of the amazon pros will pop in for a look now it's been highlighted on the Seller Connection pages and it would be really nice if they were to come and say hello - you know that they'd be made welcome on MSE - and perhaps they'd leave a few book hunt suggestions of their own (not spoof ones!) and take a few of ours with them.
  • OK, I'll go get my coat, wheelie suitcase and climb in the taxi.....

Jeez guys, chill the hell out. There is no need to make such cowardly attacks on one of the best and most prolific contributors to this message board.

I think the fact you have decided to register again as "a n other" and have just one post to your name speaks volumes. Everyone is allowed their opinion so why not give it under your real posting name? Show some guts and hold your opinions publicly in your name.

For what its worth I don't think any1 is massaging thei,r ego here. Also the thing to realise is a lot of the books that have been sold for good prices after being bought cheap many sellers may not come across for years again so why not let others profit if they can find them as long as they reciprocate.

I have only just started selling on amazon and have a lot to thank the folks in this thread for so don't really have anything to add to this thread.

I will however say that my first 2 sales were Miriam Stoppard baby books which both sold within 48 hrs of listing so must be popular. Ok they only went for £3 to £4 each but they are the sort of books that every1 buys if you can probably find quite a few of them and they look guaranteed to sll.If you know any1 with kids who no longer need them even better(the books not the kids!)
