In summary - well done for sticking with it Becky; it's nice to see you clocking up the miles again. :T

Ahh well done finlandia - I have Symphony No.1 which is about 40 minutes - used to be good for my morning run to work - now its just a tad too short so I've switched to the brandenberg (sp?) concertos for now (thats Bach btw for those not in the know)0

Boy, oh boy!!! T'was a little hot!
30.5c at the start and 30.5c at the end....and a fair few buckets of sweat poured in between!
It was a very steady start for everyone so I was startled to see that first mile had been covered in 5:08 as opposed to 5:29 last time!! It is downhill but all the same. Instead of being the normal lung buster of a race today it became a heart buster - you could sense the blood turning to treacle and scuppering any efforts to push on.
And I honestly dont think I have ever witnessed 3 out of the top 10 in a race having to stop before - a very strange sight in such a short race!
Anyway, most people seemed to be reporting about a minute slower than normal times so to only be 8 seconds slower than last time seems like a success. And chatting to the winner after (21:12) he is in 31:00 10K shape at the moment, so to be less than a minute per mile behind a 31 minute 10K runner at this stage is very satisfactory.:D:D
Becky - What a gutsy effort in 33c heat. You're definitely on the mend - no wonder you feel good. What are you trying to say about cold showers?
UK - Stop trying to make out you're still a yoof!!:p:p
Evab and Alias - Dont worry, this is Britain after all so you can look forward to sub zero temperatures within a few days!
Beer Tins - Good choice of running hour!:D Are you up for Wimbers this weekend now that Glastonbury is out of the way. There could be 4 of us if you come!

I just hope your not expecting a crazy Marathon de Sable or something, but it is good!0
-
Well done Rich - more than very satisfactory in my books!0
-
Evab - if you did sign up for that we might have to chuck you out for the crazy nutters club...
We'll wait some more I guess *sigh*
Wow well done Rich - moving up the positions again and only 8 seconds off - how do you do it!! Running at pace in this heat makes me feel unwell and makes my body go in revolt mode0 -
It's not normal really Rich, I'm mean who have thought that doing all that training would improve your racing times!
Nah just goes to show that if you have a good training plan then anything is possible.0 -
By the way Poorbabe meant to reply earlier - glad the running is going well even if you are getting lost
If you want to do wimbledon one weekend let us know0
