Are you going again next week?
We should be there next Saturday - its time I had another crack at beating the race director after losing to him by 1 second last time! Must try harder, but then again he did have a good one yesterday by the looks.
Socialising next weekend so won't make it. I'm aiming to go every two weeks. Don't think I can handle an early start every Saturday!0 -

It's on 25th October, the last one in a series.0 -
Well done to all you GNRers you did fab! 10k is about my limit at the mo, though I'd like to try and go a bit further.
What would you recommend... adding distance or improving time?
On Saturday we did 10k in 1hr 14m 04s; a minute faster than the previous weekend
Looking forward to tomorrow nights run already.
Sarah
xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
This is the official line on casualties in the GNR:
"Emergency services gave scores of people first aid after many went went down with cramp, or became dehydrated. No major casualties are reported so far."
The 'so far' is the fingers crossed bit for the organisers as its usually the next morning when the picture becomes clear. But at least the initial signs are good for once.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Haile Gebreselassie Messes Up and still breaks World record!
The man himself won the Berlin Marathon today for the 4th successive year but admits he pushed too hard in the 20c heat.
The time fell away to a disappointing (for him:p) 2:06:08, still only just over 2 minutes outside the marathon world record.
However, along the way he still managed to pick up the 30km World Record by recording 1:27:49.
Not bad when you can have a disappointing run and still break a world record!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I had severe ache within my lower back, similar to those that if i had done a massive workout in the gym with situps.
That was weird, maybe it was the beer from last night or i need to man it up..0 -
